For the CAPS website and branding, our designer Tony wanted to create a friendly, welcoming, and colorful brand. "The pinwheel is the national symbol to prevent child abuse. The pinwheel is also a lotus flower. A lotus flower represents someone who can overcome difficult obstacles in life and thrive in every environment they encounter. The children holding that pinwheel/flower in an empowering way that symbolizes CAPS empowering the children they help. Along with a rebrand, the website needed an update to complement the new brand. Hey Everyone - I have both an announcement, and a challenge to my peers. After so many of us missed our Thanksgivings over COVID concerns, we have decided that beginning December 11th, 2020, we'll be allowing our team to quarantine for the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas. While we're already working remotely, for the most part, we're going to extend this to indoor content gathers, meetings, videos, and the like. We'll be 100% remote or outdoors from the 11th-25th. You needed them to see how ugly, hateful, and violent they could be even in face of non-violence - fighting back gave them an excuse - but you sacrificed black bodies - yours and others - because freedom and dignity at any cost were the most important things to fight for - to live for You couldn’t enjoy it, but maybe someone else would Maybe the best part. It's the one-year anniversary of one of the most fun and fulfilling projects we've ever worked on - the Elkhart High School rebrand! Talk about lots of stakeholders - our team could have been verrrrry nervous about how many folks we were aiming to please (and there was a bit of that lol), but ultimately, careful planning, listening, and collaboration with the community kept us on course. One year later, we can look back with pride (get it?) at the final result: a new logo, branding, and mascot that helped bring together two schools, two sides of town, past, present, and future. Thank you to Elkhart Community Schools for allowing us to contribute this little part of Elkhart history!

Here's what Jordan had to say about working on this project: "The most challenging and rewarding part of this project was the amount of information and products that we had to organize.
