We are looking for two new FULL TIME team members to join our close-knit office family. We are looking for individuals with the following qualities:
*Capacity to handle answering phones and scheduling processes.
*Ability to multi-task and handle responsibilities in a busy and fast-paced environment.

*Excellent Customer Service skills
*Solid work history
Positions available:
Receptionist: Responsibilities would include scheduling patients, reminding patients of exams, obtaining insurance information, calling about missed appointments, sending statements, collecting and processing payments, as well as other miscellaneous duties. Position starts at $14/hr.
Optometric Technician: Responsibilities would include prepping patients for their exams, taking medical histories, using advanced technology, working directly with patients, covering incoming calls as needed, handling office open and close procedures, and other miscellaneous duties. Position starts at $14.50/hr.
Multiple cash bonuses awarded based on monthly office production and goals.

There are many professions in which your eyes are at risk for injury. There could be physical debris, dust and other small particles, chemicals, and many other risks. The golden rule of eye safety is wearing protective eye wear that is suited for your line of work. Wearing safety glasses prevents debris and other materials from entering the eye and helps prevent them from becoming too dry. You may work in a profession that works with a lot of chemicals. Many of these work environments are required by law to have eye wash stations, to immediately try to remove any dangerous chemicals from the eye. If you do get an eye injury, give us a call so we can examine your eyes.

Valley Eye Clinic is starting a food / personal hygiene product drive for the West Des Moines Food Bank. Now through the end of December please bring any non perishable foods and new personal hygiene products to be donated. Please donate at anytime during regular business hours (M.W.F 8am to 5pm, Tues. 9am to 6p, Thurs. 8am to Noon). If you bring 5 or more products you will receive $20.00 off materials.
Had a fantastic annual development meeting at West48 on Thursday. We spent the whole day discussing how we can serve our patients better and continue to be leaders in the optometric field. Very successful day, with time to spare for ping pong, swinging and bean bags 🙂
