Some of you have already met her, but we have a new family member to introduce! This is our new hospital manager, Kathryn Huber-Harvie, or we call her Kate! She has been with us for a couple of months now and we are enjoying having her with us!
We asked her what she thinks, "Our Family Serving Your Family" means, and she said," It means prioritizing our staff and our clients as if they are my friends or blood relatives." That is definitely our goal and what we do here.
Kate's favorite part of her new role here with us is all the sweet puppy kisses and our passionate staff. She says that, "watching our techs work amazes me daily!"

It's #Meetthestaff Wednesday again for Valley Veterinary Clinic! We have here a new staff family member to introduce. We'd like you all to meet Marilann, but we know her as Mj. This awesome lady has been a part of our family as a veterinary assistant for about 2 months now, and we have truly enjoyed having her with us. When we asked her what her favorite part about working with pets and their families, she said, "Seeing the bond between them and how much people care about them like we do." Mj's favorite part about her job is all the wagging tails! She especially loves when the pets got out the door feeling better than when they came in. It's #meetthestaff Wednesday again! Today we are introducing Skylar. Skylar is a veterinary assistant and she has been a part of our staff family for 5 months now. When we asked her what her favorite part about working with pets and their families, she said, "It's helping them better bond with one another. I also love helping the families know how to better care for their pets so they live a longer, happy life."
This assistant's favorite part of her job is caring for the pets that need it the most. She loves helping them feel comfort even in the hard times, and she loves forming a bond with them that makes her and all of us feel and love those pets like we love our own pets.
Skylar has two dogs of her own, and she enjoys going on runs and hikes with them. Her basset hound loves to sing along when Skylar plays the guitar or piano. Her family also has a lab that loves to go hunting with them.

They won't even know they come to see the vet!"
Her favorite part about the whole job is that she gets to see sick animals get better and she gets to see young animals grow. She also loves how everyday is different.

Alrighty guys, so we had posted this yesterday to see if you all could guess what it was, and for those who guessed heartworms, congratulations because you were right! This is more specifically called a microfilaria, or a baby heartworm. The adult heartworm that lives in the heart is called a dirofilaria. Heartworms is a very serious disease that is very common in our area in dogs, so make sure to heartworm test your pets and keep them on heartworm prevention! www.valleyvetpet.com

Angie adores working with our pets and their families; her favorite part of the job being that she gets to watch the pets grow and get better after being sick. Alrighty guys, so we had posted this yesterday to see if you all could guess what it was, and for those who guessed heartworms, congratulations because you were right! This is more specifically called a microfilaria, or a baby heartworm. The adult heartworm that lives in the heart is called a dirofilaria. Heartworms is a very serious disease that is very common in our area in dogs, so make sure to heartworm test your pets and keep them on heartworm prevention! www.valleyvetpet.com
