Meet Jay!
"I enjoy working with pets. The veterinary field and the human medicine field is very similar. I became really involved in veterinary medicine when two of my dogs started having seizures and wanted to learn more about what the potential causes could be."
Jay was born in Ohio and spent most of his childhood and teenage years in North Carolina. Moving to south Florida over eight years ago, he became involved in Veterinary medicine more exclusively. Having a background in emergency services such as State Trooper and Paramedic, Jay brings over 18 years of experience in the medical field to VCA Central Park. He has been with us for 4 years and has three adorable dogs and two birds at home.

If you are heading out of town and unable to take your furry family member with you, we are here to help! Our boarding facility is a great home-away-from-home for your pet, even if it is just for the day. We offer dog and cat boarding year-round with a choice of accommodations to fit all sizes and budgets.
For our canine friends, we provide spacious, clean and comfortable indoor-only kennels, which are temperature-regulated for the utmost comfort. Plus, we schedule walks several times each day. Our cat accommodations are comfortable, quiet and separate from the dog area. Please feel free to stop by anytime for a tour!
We are also happy to make arrangements for your pet to have an annual wellness exam, vaccination boosters, basic grooming, required medications administered and even a teeth cleaning while staying with us. Ask us for details.

Our groomer, Melissa Carman, knows every breed and temperament, all the cuts and techniques, and has the confident and soothing touch that comes from over 10 years of experience. She enjoys working closely with you to decide what is best for both you and your pet.
