We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍 When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets

UPDATE: the suspect has been located. ..... Please see below. The man that was hit in the story is one of our longtime clients (we last heard he was still hospitalized) and the pup that was killed was one of our long time beloved patients. 😢 please consider sharing to help find the person responsible for this senseless crime. Kristina Karr Walch October 26 at 9:49 AM · Totally long shot, but you never know. The person driving this car hit and man and his dog yesterday afternoon on Kelok Way (Clayton) between 4:30-5:00. The man went to the hospital and the dog was killed. The speeding in our neighborhood is out of control. God forbid it take you 3 minutes longer to get where you are going by stopping at stop signs on Keller Ridge and doing the posted speed limit, 25MPH. This tragedy is a long time coming. We all knew it was going to happen sometime. Yesterday was that time. This POS never even slowed down, just kept driving. There is no possible way this driver didn’t know that he ran over a person and a dog. This driver needs to be held accountable. Do you have a friend who drives this car and was coming to visit you yesterday afternoon, but never showed up? A family member? You can make an anonymous report with the Clayton PD. As a community, we need to help find this person. Please help!

Love this local story!! Take this as an opportunity to double check your pets microchip information and make sure it’s updated - new address, phone number, email, etc - update it directly with the company of your chip. Lynn Confetti-Ledbetter is feeling happy. March 21 at 5:13 PM · Eleven years ago, my Siamese cat "Ling Yai" disappeared. You hear stories of people being reunited years later with thei animals but I never thought I would be one of them. A few hours ago, I received a phone call from a Vet telling me that had Ling Yai. I was in a state of shock! Totally unbelievable. I drove to the vet and now have Ling Yai at home again. He's a little groggy as they had sedated him to neuter him and then discovered is microchip and called me. Believe me when I say microchips work! 11 years nearly to the day and he is home.
