Meet Rusty! Here at Feist we've seen Rusty since he was found in a local neighborhood and he quickly stole our hearts. He is a very sweet and gentle boy and we hope he finds his forever home soon! Although he does have a long medical history, he has come a very long way and we are proud of his progress. Find out more information on Rusty at https://pethavenmn.org/
Woof-hoo! It’s National Dog Week! We wish you and your pups a week full of joy 🐶❤️#VCApets
It’s National Indoor Plant Week! 🌿 Make sure to avoid houseplants that are poisonous for pets, like sago palms.
Sago palms: beautiful, but deadly! Because they contain the toxin cycasin, this can lead to liver failure if eaten. So to be extra safe, it might be a good idea to leave this plant out of your decoration scheme. 🛑🐱🐶
Looking for pet-safe plants? Visit the ASPCA’s guide: bit.ly/32iHASu. If your pet has ingested a toxic plant, call your veterinarian or Animal Poison Control (888-426-4435) right away. #vcapets
It’s spooky season, so if you have pets that have orange coloring, we want to see them! 🎃#VCApets

Last, but certainly not least, Tyann!
"Hi, my name is Tyann Knutson and I’ve been a CVT for 10 years. I originally went to the University of Wisconsin River Falls as a pre-vet student. After some significant life changes, I took some time off and went to get my degree to become a CVT at Argosy University. My favorite thing about my job is client education about dental prophylaxis and the progress the animal makes after this necessary procedure. I also enjoy getting to know a puppy/kitten during their first visit and seeing the progress the animal goes through while growing up. In my free time I enjoy running half marathons and reading. I also volunteer at a Humane Society."
Thank you to all of our wonderful technicians. It was such privilege to be able to celebrate YOU this week. Technicians have a difficult job and wear many hats. We are proud of our technicians and hope you are too! Share some stories below about how a technician has helped you and your pet, we would love to hear!
Does your pet sleep in a crazy position? Or maybe use the bathroom like a human? Whatever it is, we want to know your pet’s strangest habit! #VCApets
VCA recognizes World Cancer Day by raising pet cancer awareness! Did you know all our hospitals have access to the VCA Pet CancerCare Alliance for consultation and referral of patients, including to one of our VCA Pet CancerCare Centers?
Thinking about the disease may be uncomfortable, but learning about treatment and its outcomes can help unleash your concerns. #vcapets
