With the continued spread of COVID-19, VCA Lakeshore Animal Hospital has chosen to limit hospital access to only staff and emergency situations. This is difficult for all of us, but we want to ensure we can continue operations and care for as many pets that need our help, and that means limiting any potential exposures to COVID-19.
If you do not have an emergency, please remain in your vehicle with your pet and call 312-738-3322. One of our staff members will take your call and check you in. When we are ready to see your pet, we will collect them from your vehicle and communicate with you via phone. If you are picking up a medication or food refill, please call us and we will help you.

Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families.
