Meet our new Care Club members, the adorable Reign and Kane! They are so sweet!
In warm, humid areas, fleas thrive year-round. But even in more seasonal climates, a warm spring or fall can extend the flea season up to 10 months a year. Vigilance and prevention with year-round flea control medication are vital in keeping your pet protected from these pests.

Giving Back Never Tasted So Good
We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍
When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets

Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families.
We've included some tips to help manage and care for the community cats in your neighborhood.
Helping these cats starts by being a responsible guardian! Spay/neuter your own cat and keep them indoors.
* In just seven years, a single pair of cats and their offspring could produce a staggering total of 420,000 kittens! #VCApets

Although your holiday season may be a bit different this year, decorating your house for Thanksgiving is always a fun tradition! But remember that certain decorative plants, like amaryllis or Baby’s Breath, can be toxic for pets, so keep them out of reach! 🦃💐#vcapets

Diabetes Mellitus in Dogs - Overview
COVID-19 has impacted pet owners in more ways than ever imagined. In response, VCA Charities, in partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, continues to find ways to increase its impact and enable access to veterinary care.
Through recent grants to shelter partners as well as the new VCA Charities HOPE Funds programs, vulnerable pets are receiving care and pet owners are finding hope. Pets like Stella, who experienced labor complications, and whose owner recently found themselves unemployed, received life-saving care and support for her five puppies.
To show our commitment to #vcacharities, VCA will be matching client donations, dollar-for-dollar up to $300,000, now through December 31, 2020. Join us in supporting pets like Stella, by making a donation when you visit a VCA hospital, online at vcacharities.org or text HOPE to 213-325-1919. #vcacares #abetterworldforpets #proudlymars
