Happy Monday everybody! It's time to meet another one of our amazing veterinary technicians.... Rachel! Here's her story!

Dakota- a female spayed 11 month old boxer/St. Bernard mix - she loves to torment her siblings and dig dig dig!
Happy National Pet Bird day! Just because we only treat cats and dogs here doesn't mean we don't love birds as well! This is Mango. Mango lives with our technician Ashley and her husband Jordan. Let's meet Mango!
I've had Mango for a little over 10 years!!
Fun facts about mango:
Her favorite fruits are blueberries, apples, and bananas, she also loves fresh veggies juice!
She loves to wear her bell as a hat
She loves all our friends that come over to see her
We save her feathers, and have sent them in cute jars to all our friends all over the world
Her nicknames are: Mango bird, Mango fleef, Mango face
Her favorite song: free bird by lynard skyward, she chirps so much and wiggles when that song comes on!!
We'd love to see pictures of birds! Please post below!
Happy National Hug Your Hound Day!
What is today exactly? Well Ami Moore, author and canine behaviorist, created National Hug Your Hound Day. It is the second Sunday of every September and her desire is to have dogs accepted in more places and to make everywhere a little more pet friendly.
Spend a little extra time today with your pups. Get down to their level. Make sure their environment and the places you take them are warm, comforting, inviting and safe. Oh yeah, and give your hounds some hugs! Share your photos of you giving your best fur friend a hug!
Happy Wednesday! These furry guys are stuck in the middle of the week waiting for that weekend as well! Halfway there! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
We did it guys! We made it! Happy Friday from us here at VCA Littleton to all of our wonderful friends! Have a safe and exciting weekend!
It's Monday! You know what that means! It's time to meet Hank. Hank has been a greeter at the hospital for a little over a year now. When he's not greeting everyone he lives with our CSR Kim in Littleton. You may have seen him lounging with his best friend Red. Hank sure loves his treats! He is a 15 year old cattledog mix who just loves to hand out kisses. Next time you're here make sure to come say hi!
I know Mondays are normally used to introduce our staff one by one but this Monday is extra special! It's National Vet Tech week and we here at VCA Littleton couldn't be more proud of our team. A huge thank you to Jenni, Nate, Daniela, Ashley and Rachel for all their hard work! We love you guys!
We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍
When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets

Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families.
We've included some tips to help manage and care for the community cats in your neighborhood.
Helping these cats starts by being a responsible guardian! Spay/neuter your own cat and keep them indoors.
* In just seven years, a single pair of cats and their offspring could produce a staggering total of 420,000 kittens! #VCApets
Hey everybody! Just wanted to share a quick happy story with you guys. So we recently had a client bring a pet in that she had found roaming the streets. We were able to scan for a microchip and thankfully this pet had one! I called the microchip company and they were able to connect me to the owners. Because of the microchip this pet was able to be reunited with his family!
Microchipping your pet is so important for reasons just like this. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for your pet or have any questions please give the office a call! 303-794-5574.
