We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍
When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets

Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families.
We've included some tips to help manage and care for the community cats in your neighborhood.
Helping these cats starts by being a responsible guardian! Spay/neuter your own cat and keep them indoors.
* In just seven years, a single pair of cats and their offspring could produce a staggering total of 420,000 kittens! #VCApets
Zuleima (we call her “Z”) has been an integral part of our team since 2017. She started out in the spa and with the hard work and dedication that defines her- she is now one of our awesome technicians! She is nearly finished with her degree and we are so excited to celebrate her earning those three very important letters after her name: LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician). Thank you, Z, for being you! And a special thanks to Winston for sharing the love ❤️
Michelle has been with us for almost two years. She is currently working toward her veterinary technician licensure and doesn't have too much more to go. She started out in our spa, moved into the kennel, and this summer she stepped up into the technician position. Despite her efforts to stay out of the spotlight, she has really shined and has been doing an incredible job! We are thrilled to have you caring for our patients, Michelle, and cannot thank you enough for accepting our challenge and exceeding our expectations!
Thank you to all of our wonderful clients, for being so understanding during these challenging times. Here is an understanding of what is happening behind the scenes while caring for your amazing fur babies. #wearehereforyou🐾
In light of the current weather predictions, we may have some changes in business hours and/or delayed openings in the next two weeks to ensure the safety of our staff. Please keep this in mind for any and all boarding reservations, medication refill requests and diet orders.
If you have a scheduled appointment which may be affected by changes in hours, we will be contacting you directly the morning of your appointment. If you have not heard from us, but would like to confirm before leaving your home, you can text "WEATHER" to our main phone number for the most up to date information. You can also text, email or message us through your PetDesk app to reschedule any appointments, and we will reply when we arrive at the office.
We do have staff members within walking distance of the practice, so any pets staying in the building will get the care they need regardless of weather conditions.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, please stay safe and stay warm!
