Thanks for sticking with us as we learn about magical pheromones and our feline fur kids! The 3rd type of "message" that cats send are "Territory Messages". Cats communicate with other cats through natural messages left in their territory. When they scratch an object in their territory they leave "territory messages". This provides a visual message (scratch marks) and the "territory message" says that "this is mine". FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY provides “territory messages” to cats and encourages them to scratch on the scratching post. By mimicking these natural feline territorial messages, FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY is a simple answer to your cat’s inappropriate scratching in the home. #feliway #feliscratch #VCApets #Catsrule https://youtu.be/UnTn5rSyCnk YOUTUBE.COM How to use FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY?
As we continue our exploration of cat behavior, today we'll learn about "Harmony Messages" that cats send. Mother cats communicate with their kittens through natural messages released into the air. These "harmony messages" are called cat appeasing pheromones. They help maintain social bonds between cats of all ages. FELIWAY MultiCat provides “harmony messages” to cats to help restore harmony between cats living together. By mimicking these natural feline appeasing messages, FELIWAY MultiCat helps your cats live in harmony and avoid tension, conflict and fighting. #feliway #VCApets #Catsrule https://youtu.be/ZDKU2wpK-4E
Today, we're learning about the first of the 3 types of "messages" that cats send, “Happy Messages”. When comfortable and happy, cats mark their territory as familiar by rubbing their face against corners, furniture, people, or other cats at home. They leave an odorless message known as a feline facial pheromone. When present in the environment, these "happy messages" provide comfort and security to cats. FELIWAY CLASSIC provides “happy messages” to cats and makes them feel comfortable and secure at home. By mimicking the natural feline reassuring messages, FELIWAY CLASSIC helps your cat happily adjust to pace of modern life. You can provide calming and comfort at home and help prevent or reduce urine spraying, scratching or hiding. #feliway #VCApets #Catsrule https://youtu.be/bOtr8J8Th5s YOUTUBE.COM What is FELIWAY CLASSIC

Although taking your dog for a walk is a healthy and important winter activity, keep them away from slippery ice, especially over a body of water—if it isn’t solid enough, they could fall in and risk hypothermia! #vcapets
2020 was certainly an interesting year, and now that we’ve finished our first month of 2021, we want to know how you and your pets are doing! Have you been keeping your pet resolutions? 😋#vcapets
A question we're often asked is... "Is my pet too old for vaccines?" Vaccines should still be an important part of your senior pet's life. Rabies is required by law for all pet dogs and cats over 12 week of age, even those who live outdoors. Leptospirosis and Lyme disease can infect dogs of any age. Geriatric cats still need their FVRCP vaccination for protection against airborne infections. Our doctors make recommendations based on every pet's lifestyle and health but, in general, senior pets should still receive vaccinations and they generally handle them just as well as younger animals.
