Sam loves cooking vegetarian and vegan meals and transforming thrift finds. She has a dog named Cosmo and a cat noted Sherlock who she loves dearly.

Today is Pet Obesity Awareness Day!!
Your pet's weight is more than just a number... excess fat is inflammatory and leads to many health complications. Ask your veterinarian if you are concerned your pet may be overweight. He or she can help you institute a plan for slow gradual/safe weight loss. Your pet is counting on you! 🐾

Today we highlight Ines, who is our Supervisor!! When she is not here at VCA, she is at the soccer field with her boys. Her husband, Alberto, is the soccer coach and her son, Sebastian, is a National League Player. Her other son, Emmanuel is also a soccer star. She has 2 dogs named Solo and Chapo.

As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families.

COVID-19 has impacted pet owners in more ways than ever imagined. In response, VCA Charities, in partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, continues to find ways to increase its impact and enable access to veterinary care.
Through recent grants to shelter partners as well as the new VCA Charities HOPE Funds programs, vulnerable pets are receiving care and pet owners are finding hope. Pets like Stella, who experienced labor complications, and whose owner recently found themselves unemployed, received life-saving care and support for her five puppies.
