This is said so wonderfully. Wondering why your vet has been so busy? It’s been a challenge for everyone. Thank you to our wonderful referring vets and our clients for their understanding. And a HUGE thank you to our amazing team for working so incredibly hard. ❤️ VINx VetTools September 23 at 1:19 PM · Veterinary friends: this video we’ve created for you to share with your clients is a love letter from us to you. We’ve watched in awe and gratitude for the past 6 months as you all have given everything you’ve got - and then some - to care for your community’s pets in the face of a pandemic. We hope this video will help you share your story with your clients, so they can better understand and appreciate the unprecedented challenges you’ve faced and how they may have affected their recent experiences with your practice. Most importantly, it reinforces that while some of your approaches may have changed, your commitment to your patients hasn’t wavered. Thank you for everything you do, every single day. - Your friends at VINx 😊 www.vin.com/VINx #veterinary #veterinarian #vetmed #vettools

We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍 When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets
Today is Global Cat Day, a special occasion devoted to unowned, free-roaming “community” cats. These cats often get a bad rap but it’s important to understand that these cats aren’t so different from our beloved pets. As a matter of fact, many are living on the streets as a result of being abandoned by their families. We've included some tips to help manage and care for the community cats in your neighborhood. Helping these cats starts by being a responsible guardian! Spay/neuter your own cat and keep them indoors. * In just seven years, a single pair of cats and their offspring could produce a staggering total of 420,000 kittens! #VCApets
These two adorable felines are looking for a furrever home! Meet Michael (tabby on the left) and Georgia (orange on the right)! Every year we rescue two cats from a high kill shelter and give them a second shot at a family. During that year they live with us in a spacious enclosure with lots of human interaction for socialization. They are also a part of our blood donor program and are used as a last resort if a patient is in critical need of a blood transfusion. These two have saved a few of our patients lives and we are very grateful. Michael and Georgia are retired now and are looking for the purrfect home. Do you think you’re the right human for this bonded pair? Give our hospital a call at (703)-752-9100 and ask to speak to Brock McGee for more information.
