Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Chadwick and I’m about 5/6 months old. I am a neutered male. One day Sara went outside to discharges a canine when she heard a “meow”. After further investigation they found me in the hood of someone’s car. I was very hot and thirsty! The girls took me in and got me all better. Now I am ready for adoption.

For example, keep an eye on their body temperature, bringing them indoors if they seem or feel too cold. March 18 to March 24 is National Poison Prevention Week! We recommend 1) keeping emergency numbers on hand, 2) becoming familiar with common household toxins (like certain plants or foods) and 3) storing items like rodenticides and insecticides out of reach.

Don't forget your pets today! When putting your safety kit together (do it now!!) don't forget items for your pet: medications, list of medications, water, food, leash and/or carrier, phone number for your vet. Also:
*Take a picture with you AND your pet in the same picture. If you get separated from them, this will help identify the pet is yours.
*Don't let them run loose outside if the storms are approaching. You may not be able to get them inside easily.
*When storms get close, put them on a leash or in a carrier if you know they will hide or be hard to catch. Trying to round up your pets after a warning has been issued, when you're frantic and they're already nervous, is really a terrible idea and takes precious time.
