We are monitoring all of the fires across Northern California and hope everyone is staying safe. If you have been evacuated due to a fire and need assistance with boarding your pet, VCA Animal Hospitals in Northern California are offering free boarding. However, due to Covid 19, capacity may be limited and some hospitals may not be able to take in as many boarders as they would like. If you are in need, please call the specific location ahead of time to inquire about availability. Thank you.

Sunny days bring smiles to our faces! Here are some important safety tips for your pets during this warm weather: 1) Walking in the early morning or evening can help keep your dog’s paws safe from hot surfaces, 2) leave pets at home while running errands, as parked cars get hot extremely fast, even with the windows down and 3) water is a pet’s best friend, so make sure your pet always has access to clean water indoors or in the shade outside.
Happy Fourth! We hope you have a blast with friends, family and pets (even virtually!) Just remember to protect pets by staying indoors if there are fireworks nearby! Learn more about holiday safety tips here: bit.ly/3i9vnpg #VCApets
