In September of this year my cat Gabby suffered a stroke and suddenly passed away. She was only 10. I miss her every day. So this #BlackFriday I thought I’d highlight some of the black cats available for adoption from Kitten Rescue in Gabby’s honor. Kitten Rescue is a wonderful organization that helps cats and kitties find furever homes.
I found Gabby at the Castaic shelter when she was about three months old. I wound up at the shelter after reading that black cats have the lowest adoption rate of any of their cat counterparts. So naturally, I drove to Castaic in search of a black cat and there she was. She had a bad cold, but even her sneezes were cute.
