For Stephen M. Barnett, MD, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all treatment. After an in-depth consultation, Dr. Barnett develops an individualized treatment and care program for each patient’s specific vein problems. With decades of experience as a general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Barnett focuses his expertise on treating venous disease and vein disorders.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Barnett earned his medical degree from the University of Texas. He then went on to complete his surgery residency at Emory University, where he focused on general and vascular surgery.
He served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Piedmont Hospital and works with the Piedmont Hospital Wound Care Center, treating patients with complex wounds. For many years Dr. Barnett has taught surgical residents at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Dr. Barnett is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography for Vascular Interpretation and is a member of the American College of Phlebology.
