March is National Bleeding Disorder Month. If you have a bleeding disorder, your blood does not clot properly. This could be due to having no or a decreased amount a protein called a clotting factor. Bleeding disorders can also be caused by a platelet defect, either a lack of platelets or a problem that causes your platelets to not “stick” together or to the injured blood vessel properly. Please welcome our new PAS (Patient Access Specialist) Supervisor, Ruma Islam. Ruma moved to Austin from Detroit, Michigan, where she was a supervisor to the Registrars at William Beaumont Hospital for 4 years. She is a newlywed and her husband is currently in Aviation School in Georgetown. When asked about quarantine, she admits that the worst part for her was that she couldn’t have a big wedding. Ruma and her husband enjoy playing badminton and love the warm weather that Austin offers. Their favorite restaurant is Kobe Japanese Steakhouse.
When asked what she likes most about working for Complete Care, she answered, “Working under a dedicated, caring boss like Jenny! Jenny reminds me of my former Director, Jessica, but more funny.
