I chose urology as a specialty because, while I always wanted to be a surgeon, I also wanted to form long-lasting relationships with my patients that extend well past the operating room. Urologic problems can be very personal, and I strive to put my patients at ease by explaining their issues in detail so that they know exactly what is going on. From there, I hope that we can come to a shared decision that is in their best interests. My philosophy has always been that doing the right thing is a necessary step in obtaining a good outcome, and I plan to bring this philosophy to my practice at Mercy.
