This past Sunday, our 17-year-old son Ivan made me and our whole family extremely proud. After scouting for 11 years since first grade, he became an eagle scout. Throughout his scouting career, we’ve witnessed his growth in all facets of his life, from leadership to outdoor skills. We are very grateful to all the people who’ve helped in his scouting journey, including his BSA troop leaders, mentors, volunteers, fellow scouts, this eagle project sponsor Destination Imagination Region One Board.
Our 14-year-old daughter is also in a BSA troop. I look forward to seeing her becoming a female eagle scout someday.
