To attain CKD status, one must pass through rigorous testing and have at least seven years of design experience within the Kitchen and Bath Industry. The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) oversees this testing. Once CKD status is reached, the designer is required to regularly update their Kitchen and Bath Industry knowledge through continued Industry-related education.
