Here at Volusia Medical Center we are doing our best to accommodate our patients and their needs as well as practice the guidelines set forth by the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO) in regards to COVID 19. Although they have subtle difference in recommendations, here are the procedures we have come to adopt since early March.
We have a doorbell system to help maintain social distancing. No more than 2 persons are allowed to be in our lobby at one time. We ask others to wait outside until we can accommodate them and to remain 6 feet apart. We are taking everyone's temperatures at the door. Patients scheduling appointments are being asked COVID 19 screening questions regarding travel, exposure to COVID 19, symptoms, etc. Masks are being worn by staff as well as we are advising patients to wear masks as well. We have been utilizing telemedicine visits which we offer to all patients depending on the reason for appointment.
We understand that many are going through this with anxiety and fear but we hope these precautions will help ease some minds if you need to travel to the office. The safety and health of our patients and staff remains our utmost priority. We are all going through this together and appreciate your understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented time.

We are still scheduling your child's well visits in all three of our offices. We are continuing to screen all people who enter the offices and taking temperatures at the door. We are primarily utilizing our telemedicine service for many appointments so the volume of patients in the office is very low so we can practice social distancing effectively.
We urge you to keep your child's recommended appointments for their physical exams and vaccinations!
