Our Yepocapa, Yepocapa Peaberry, and Las Nubes beans start their transformation journey right here.
The local farmers deliver their coffee cherry harvest to the co-op, (sometimes by foot🤯) where it is weighed and recorded in a ledger. The farmers are paid once their beans have been sold to a distributor.
This means they place a lot of trust in the co-op to care for their yield, and the co-op relies on distributors like @yepocapacoffee to buy the coffee. The chain continues, all the way down to our customers.
We love that we can pay hardworking farmers a price for their coffee that they deserve, while still leaving room for growth in their business. It’s a win-win partnership!🔅
