Waterford's nursing team has grown with the appointment of Nicole Kennedy, our new full-time nurse at Waterford. The two nurses will alternate weeks in the MS/US and LS Offices. You may see them (and Ms. Fagan) wandering the campus with their "Stick of Great Distance" to help ensure everyone is staying safe and socially distant. #WaterfordSchool

The Virtual Family Project, led by Tyler D.’21, and an incredible team consisting of Ulla-Britt L.’21, Barr D.’21, Abia F.’21, Eeshan C.’21, and Neve R.’22 is an organization dedicated to relieving the stress and isolation that arises with admittance to hospitals during this era of COVID-19. The project has raised over $10,000 dollars in donations in the past month. All donations go fully towards purchasing rolling iPads on stands that allow patients to virtually connect with their families while live visitation is suspended. These students have truly embraced this year’s Waterford theme of “Caring” by helping alleviate loneliness in all hospital wards. Please visit their website at virtualfamilyproject.com to learn more about this important effort and ways that you can contribute.

Here Ms. Bienert, Chinese teacher, coaching students during a poetry recitation in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival in class.
We are grateful to our teachers! They are amazing every year, but this year they have risen to many new and incredible tasks. This year, our faculty is teaching in-person and online, learning new technologies and new ways of organizing their classes, and finding ways to show their deep passions through masks and physical distance. We walk into classes, and see scenes like this, and we see how fortunate our community is to have dedicated teachers and the opportunity for continuous learning. #WaterfordSchool
