Growing up as a child in the Towing industry is challenging. Missed dinners, cancelled plans, few vacations, late nights, early mornings, woke up by the phone, mom or dad leaving at any minute to assist a complete stranger. Life changes day by day, minute by minute and it can be very challenging for children growing up in this industry. As Austin turns 16 today we could not be more proud of the young man he is turning out to be. From his first ride in a tow truck, to his first tow show and now today working beside our guys on certain situations, we’re excited to watch him grow even more! Happy Birthday buddy, Mom and Dad love you!!
It feels like we spent our entire day on Route 283. Special thanks to East Hempfield Police Department, East Petersburg Fire Department, Hempfield Fire Department, traffic units from East Petersburg, West Hempfield and Mount Joy. If I missed anyone, thank you for all the assistance. To our crew.... Kim and I thank you for a job well done today.
Great job Duff!
Hard to believe anyone survived this! Guardian Angel. Todd Leiss shared a post to the group: National Struck-By Heroes. Yesterday at 7:09 PM · Andy Langzettel is with Riley Langzettel and 5 others. Yesterday at 6:43 PM · SLOW DOWN, MOVE OVER!! My son was operating a tow truck on 581 East, right by the Camp Hill split. Tractor trailer swerved, hit the car my son was trying to load up, and used the roll back bed as a ramp. It smashed the cab of the tow truck,, rolled, and landed sideways across the lane. If He hadn't have ducked when he did, he wouldn't be here with us now. His guardian angel was on duty tonight!! The car owner was in the cab of the tow. They needed to cut her out. Thanks to Camp Hill, Lower Allen, and Hampden twp. Fire Companies.

Speechless! Todd Leiss Yesterday at 6:32 PM · Pennsylvania, Rt 581 at MM 5.5 (near Camp Hill), tow truck operator from Leahys Towing was fortunately uninjured, the customer suffered non-life threatening injuries. This is why we need to MOVE OVER for emergency responders, this is why we need for motorist to keep alert and not be a D Driver. Kim, Austin and I could not be happier with our relationship with Rettew Motorsports and the Renegade Monster Truck Tour. Proud sponsor for many years and many more to come.
We have been seeing a rise In denied collision claims for individuals engaged in transportation and delivery duties performed in their personal vehicles. If your working for Lyft, Uber, Door Dash, Grub Hub or any other services you should notify your insurance carrier of your intent. One customer told us the raise in the insurance premium was so much he could not make any money, so he decided to operate under the radar. This should say something about what these companies are paying.
It’s that time of the year, the deer are on the move! Be extra cautious early evening and morning hours. A deer hit can easily total a vehicle.

We have (2) new Elf On The Shelf gift boxes to brighten someone’s week. We are looking for one girl and one boy that may not have an Elf to call their own. If the children are local, we can even do something creative like set a date and time to ring the door bell and drop the Elf off so the children find the surprise. Please private message us if you know of a young child that we can surprise with this Christmas tradition.

2020 has been a challenging year for so many family’s. As we wrap up this Thanksgiving weekend Kim, Austin and I are so thankful for our health, our business, our AMAZING staff, friends, family and all of our loyal customers. Christmas is right around the corner and Team Waynes is gearing up to do what we love, giving back to our community. Some we will share and some we will keep private, we have some special things planned. With so much negativity on social media recently, let’s all share some stories of positivity this Christmas season. Be kind to a stranger, put a smile on a child’s face. We can all make a difference. Remember.... Small acts of kindness multiplied by millions can change the world!
Last evening we were able to utilize our first pay it forward service voucher of this Christmas season. While on the phone with a local police officer, our dispatcher Coraima was advised the person in need of service had little to no money. We were asked if we needed immediate payment. Coraima immediately dispatched a driver and told the officer the service was on us. Thank you to the officer for advising us of the situation and Coraima for using your service voucher!
Manheim Township Police Department 21 hrs · Thursday December 3 we were excited to partner with resident Joe Mirocke and Wayne's Towing to fill not just 1 cruiser but 2!! Wayne's towing came to the event with a truck FULL of toys that their employees and family donated. Santa Claus was unsure if he could make it to the event --he is very busy this time of the year, you know. Santa Bunny came in to help out her holiday friend and hang with the children. Chief Rudzinski came out to read our rendition of Twas the Night Before Christmas Manheim Township style. We want to thank everyone that came out and donated. There will be a lot of happy children this Christmas morning. Special thanks to Braddy Boyz Pretzels for bringing an entire vehicle with very cool toys. Officer Reinert and Officer Hikins and family came out to help serve cocoa and transport all the toys. This is the second year for this event and we can't wait to see what next year brings.
Someone is happy now that the tree is decorated.
Doesn’t get more special then this! Look at that smile 😊
What an amazing night spent with Manheim Township Police Department and the residents of Grandview Heights. We packed the wrecker full of toys and Brian and Bobby surprised us by stopping for 2 new bicycles along the way! Bruce rolled up in the battery van with even more toys! We heard that Santa could not make it to the event so we reached out to our very close friend to see if she could make a special appearance. Santa bunny was a big hit. 😊 We’re blessed we could be a part of this event and thank the Manheim Township Police Department and residents of Grandview Heights for such a great night. Teamwork makes the dream work!

We are currently on a company weather alert. Part of this company policy is to focus all resources on motorists stranded roadside, police involved incidents and high priority calls. Please understand if you are at home or in a safe place your service call will be placed on a waiting list and we will get to you as soon as we safely can. If you live in a community that has issued a snow emergency, please move your vehicles. A week before Christmas during the COVID pandemic is not a great time to be paying tow fees and police citations.
Lancaster city residents, please follow instructions. CITYOFLANCASTERPA.COM Winter Weather Information | City of Lancaster, PA
Attention East Petersburg residents.... If you have not already, please go to East Petersburg Boroughs website and familiarize yourself with the Borough snow emergency route and procedures. Special thanks to Brian and Bobby. Great job guys. Manheim Township Police Department December 26 at 10:00 AM · Bucher Elementary reached out to us to make some children's Christmas a bit brighter. Our employees donate a bit of money from each paycheck to go towards community donations through out the year. Each year we offer to help the schools first. This year there was a need from Bucher for bikes. Upon speaking to our friends at Wayne's Towing on another topic, we found that their 2 employees pictured here, spent their own money to buy bikes as donations. It just happened that these were the bikes that Lydia Bekelja (school counselor) was in search of. Our police fund covered bike locks and helmets to keep the kids safe. Thank you to Brian and Bobby for your huge hearts and your love of this community. There will be two super happy children with shiny new bikes on Christmas Day.

Debris left behind at accident scenes can be deadly. A lawn mower can project debris at the same force as a bullet. Thoroughly cleaning an accident scene is one of our top priorities.
Special thanks to the men and women in blue. You are appreciated!
From debris to vehicle operating fluids, accident scene clean up is a high priority of ours. Did you know that Lancaster City storm drains flow to the Chesapeake Bay?
Special thanks to the Manheim Township School District for this lovely note. Blessed we could do everything we did this year. Let’s all stay focused on a prosperous 2021.
Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year!

“It’s just antifreeze” is a comment we hear quite often. He are a few facts about antifreeze as it relates to our wildlife and pets.
1 quart of oil can contaminate 250,000 gallons of water. Even your small compact vehicles hold a minimum of 4 quarts of oil. Vehicle accidents can compromise oil coolers, cooler lines, oil filters and even cracked engine blocks.
Our scene management services got a little more efficient today. We added a Billy Goat industrial debris vacuum to assist us with thorough scene clean ups. This will aid In debris removal from residential and commercial properties, Hard to reach areas including flower beds, hardscape, along curbs and buildings. Thank you to Ebling's Service Plus/RS Hollinger & Sons for the pleasant experience purchasing this unit. Rick was great to work with.
Most AAA members join and never read their membership handbook. Highlighted in the handbook are rules and regulations pertaining to your membership. Did you know..... AAA does not pay for absorbent materials, clean up of vehicle operating fluids, disposal fees, collision wrap, acid reducer and many other materials and services commonly used at accident scenes. Rest assured that we will discuss every option available to our customers to reduce or eliminate their out of pocket expense. Even your minimum liability insurance coverage can sometimes cover this type of service. As always we offer FREE consultation with our customers to discuss your options. Sit down with Wayne or Kim to review your AAA coverages and your insurance coverages.
Picking things up and putting things down! We cant say enough about the working relationship we have with Null’s Towing. A fleet of highly advanced equipment and highly knowledgeable operators that are always willing to assist us at the drop of a hat. Thank you Null's Towing for all your assistance.

COVID-19 has changed a lot of things and customer service is one of them. No more handshakes, no more hugs (yes, we have received many!) smiles are now hidden behind masks and contactless service of vehicles have become the new norm. It’s so comforting to know our quality of service shines thru the present dark clouds that mask the normal customer service we have delivered for so many years. Thank you Martina for the kind words and Thank you Bruce for your continued dedication and commitment to our business and our customers.

Policies and procedures. All businesses have them or should. One of our policies is that anyone coming to retrieve a vehicle gives us a 1 hour call ahead prior to arriving. On any given day this is how our storage lots look. This is today after 3 or 4 vehicles were already released. The call ahead gives us time to move vehicles, get the vehicle accessible, process payment and relocate the vehicle to an easy access location. We appreciate the large majority of companies that understand and follow policy.

Prayers to everyone involved! WGAL.COM Two people injured in crash on Route 30
Yesterday morning we responded with 4 trucks to a serious accident on Route 222. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved.
We regret to announce we have made the decision to cancel our annual Easter Egg hunt again this year. This is one of our favorite events, so we are as bummed as everyone. Our promise to everyone that looks forward to this event.... If COVID fear and restrictions are lessened next year we will have the biggest and baddest egg hunt that we have ever had! PS: We are actively brainstorming something else to do in the near future. Stay tuned!
We often get questioned if we still buy junk cars... Yes, we still do! Prices are very good right and it may be the time to get rid of that eyesore that’s in your driveway.

Spill Tackle.... A saving grace for certain fluids! Contact our friends at Null's Sales for all your Spill Tackle needs.
We laid down a lot of absorbent materials today. Multiple incidents for ruptured hydraulic lines kept our spill response equipment busy.
Amazing photo captured by our friends at Null’s. Working the streets together this morning. Always a pleasure. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
