Meet Lei’lana, a wonderful CNA and our September Employee of the Month! While only working for Weatherly Inn for 7 months, Lei’lana comes to work with a caring heart that motivates her peers while also placing a priority on helping those around her. Lei’lana says, “I like working at the Weatherly because we’re all like family. Taking care of people is my passion. I just feel like this is what I’m made to do and it makes me really happy and this is definitely the place to be”. Lei’lana mentions her favorite part about being a CNA is interacting with the residents and making them smile.

Thursday 'music social' is back! We are kicking off with Monty Banks treating our residents to a piano jazz show during dinner!

What a show! We had some classic cars visit our residents for a great show a few weeks ago. Our residents were amazed and excited to see some of their childhood cars again!

Another great Octoberfest in the books! Our residents celebrated with a German themed dinner, live music, made homemade pretzels and even got to see staff dressed up for the occasion! Lots of smiles all around!

Every year, Pierce County recognizes caregivers that go above and beyond in their job, with an Award called the 'All Star Caregiver Award’. Weatherly Inn is excited to announce that out of 10 caregivers that were awarded this prestigious award in Pierce County, there were 3 winners that came directly from Weatherly Inn. WOW! Congratulations Sky, Savili and Connie!

Meet Perl, a passionate Assisted Living Caregiver and our October Employee of the Month! During her time with Weatherly Inn, it has been clear to staff and residents alike, Perl’s passion for her work shines through in everything she does. Perl says,“I like sitting and listening to residents and hearing their stories. It’s like family to me. They want to be treated like I would want to be treated if I lived at Weatherly Inn”. Residents are so thankful for her kind attitude and how she is never spotted without her smile.

Marie has voted in every election since she was 18 years old, when President Eisenhower was elected in 1952. Every year Marie shows up to the polls and casts her right to vote. We are counting down to the election and Marie reminds everyone that “this is our country, we must take care of it” and most importantly, “vote, vote, vote”.
Today was the day! Big thank you to Kirk's Pharmacy for coming out today to give vaccines to our residents and staff. We are so thankful for the tremendous support we have received on the way to this momentous occasion.

Our memory care has a great New Years party last night! We celebrated by watching fireworks from around the world, drinking cider and eating lots of popcorn mix!
