The Weathersby Guild is an enterprise dedicated to maintaining high standards of professionalism and excellence in the restoration, conservation, and repair of furniture and wood artifacts. The organization is comprised of men and women selected, first of all, for their demonstrated ability to conduct their personal affairs and their professional practices with respect for the highest standards of character and demeanor.
Once selected for membership in the Weathersby Guild, entrants attend our well-crafted one-on-one training program conducted by three Master Craftsmen. The program is founded on the “old world” guild model in which trainees enter the program as apprentices and leave initial training as journeymen. As each advances through experience and mentoring, they will progress to the Craftsman level.
With several years of experience and identifiable accomplishments in the advancement of our craft, Craftsmen are awarded the Master Craftsman designation. The Weathersby Guild is a learning company and as such is dedicated to the development and discovery of advanced practices and materials while respecting time tested conservation standards where they are appropriate.
