UPTOWN CHURCH PROVIDES SPIRITUAL SUPPORT FROM THE ROOFTOP OF WEISS’ PARKING GARAGE
During the pandemic Uptown Church has been a source of inspiration for our staff by regularly placing encouraging signs all around our hospital. They also boosted our morale by providing delicious coffee on a weekly basis to our ER staff from Everybody’s Coffee, a local coffee roaster and café in Uptown.
When members of their church asked if they could hold outdoor services on the rooftop of Weiss’ parking garage, we were happy to accommodate. On select Sundays this fall, look for the Uptown Church bringing hope and joy to our community from a rooftop location!
Contact the Uptown Church https://uptowncov.org/ for more information about Sunday worship services.

Check out this article about the safety of getting massages in the era of COVID-19, featuring Diane Hsu, MD, Medical Director of the Weiss Emergency Department.
"I personally love massages, but I feel it's not worth the risk right now,"" she said. Dr. Hsu explained that many areas in the US have begun to experience a rise in COVID-19 cases and ICU admissions, which makes her wary of getting a massage. ""My concern with massages is that they're usually done in a private room with the windows closed — so the ventilation is definitely not the same level as outdoor dining," she said.
