Dear Wendel Family Dental Centre Patient, As a valued patient of Wendel Family Dental Centre, we appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you about how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Please know that our office is following recommended guidance from public health authorities such as the CDC, WSDA, and ADA including best practices for hygiene, infection control and dental professional team health. We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing dental care according to the tradition of quality care that you have come to expect and deserve. Our highest priority is to keep all our patients and staff as safe as possible. As we reopen our office for routine dental care, we would like to make you aware of changes that we have made: • Your confirmation call will now include recommended screening questions. If we miss you and leave a message, please call our office back to confirm your appointment. • All patients, upon entering the office, will have their temperature taken using a “no touch” forehead scanner. • We are asking all patients to wear cloth face coverings to their appointments and again after completing treatment while in the building. • We are asking patients to use hand sanitizer/or wash their hands upon entering the building. • Please do not bring guests to your appointment/ please allow minors to be taken back for treatment unaccompanied. • Screening questions will again be asked, and a consent obtained recognizing the inherent risk of treatment in dental office. If the answer to any of the screening questions is yes, our doctors would like the opportunity to talk with you prior to treatment. We also ask our patients and staff to remain home if you have any other illnesses currently. • We will ask patients who develop symptoms consistent with Covid-19 within 14 days of their appointment to contact our office to let us know. Additionally, you will see the following changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to further protect our patients and staff: • We have upgraded our personal protective equipment for our staff. • We have added protective barriers/sneeze guards. • We are enhancing our disinfecting procedures. • Staff will be taking their temperatures and answer screening questions before each workday. • The number of chairs in the waiting room have been decreased to aid in social distancing. • Magazines and pamphlets will no longer be offered in the waiting area to reduce cross-contamination. As we implement these new procedures there may be longer than normal wait times. We ask that you please be patient with us. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you and every patient safe in our practice. For questions, or to make an appointment please call our office at 360-254-5254 or visit our website at www.wendeldental.com.
