Board certified gynecologist Dr. Wendy Hurst is recognized as one of the most esteemed gynecologists in the New York area. Praised by patients for her superior care, respect and compassion, Dr. Hurst provides gynecological and medical aesthetic services at her practice, Wendy R. Hurst, MD, PA, in Englewood, New Jersey.
Dr. Hurst attended Choate Rosemary Hall and received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She then graduated from the Tufts University School of Medicine,
also in Massachusetts. After completing her internship and residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Hurst became an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
In addition to treating women in the Englewood community, she has served as the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology representative to the operating room committee and has served as a trustee of the Board of the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Foundation. She has been physician liaison to the Englewood Hospital Breakfast Club, one of its charity organizations.
Her compassion and care for patients extend beyond the clinic and hospital. Dr. Hurst is a member of the Urban Women’s Health Advisory Group, which seeks to identify research opportunities and partnerships to improve urban women’s health. She also serves as an overseer on the board at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She was recently appointed to serve as the inaugural chair of the Health Advisory Board of the Center for Global Women’s Health there.
The Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey recognized Dr. Hurst for a remarkable record of community leadership and exemplary volunteerism in benefit of Project S.A.R.A.H., which provides critical support to women experiencing domestic abuse.

Dr. Hurst lives locally with her physician husband, three children, and their beloved dog. She is an avid piano player, spends her free time mentoring first-grade boys and girls from inner city families, and will never be seen in the office without a pair of sparkly high heels beneath her white lab coat.
