Today’s #teacherfeaturetuesday is all about Miss Vi Vien!
Miss Vi Vien grew up in a beautiful multi-ethnicity country in Malaysia and she is fluent in speaking three languages: English, Mandarin, and Malay which she learned as a young girl. Wow!
Vi Vien has a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from University Putra Malaysia and graduated from Miami University with a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. She teaches both private and individual piano lessons with students ranging from young children to college students and adults. She is a certified Suzuki Piano Teacher and also a member of the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA). Her philosophy in teaching is to allow her students to be able to musically express themselves, to nurture them to become better human beings, and ultimately, to teach them to love and enjoy playing the piano!

Congratulations to two of our West Chester Academy Music students Vanessa (left) and Evelyn (right) for their acceptance into the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra! Under the instruction of Ms. Diana and Dr. Rachael, these two talented young women successfully passed a competitive audition to participate. The CSYO consists of two full orchestras made up of 200 of the region’s most talented musicians. Bravo! 🎵

Today's #teacherfeaturetuesday is all about Ms. Olivia!
Ms. Olivia found her love for dance at age three and was trained in Cincinnati, with Ms. Jennifer as one of her instructors. With her favorite dance style (out of the many that she studied) being jazz, she competed heavily over her years of training, winning many overall awards. A graduate of Miami University, Ms. Olivia has just begun her 8th year teaching at WCA. Her favorite dance memory with us is watching the WCA girls perform on a cruise ship! Ms. Olivia has a beautiful family outside of her dance family. :) Here she is pictured with her husband and two children. Olivia also has a great love for her two cats, finger guns 😂, making her students laugh, Michael Jackson Mondays, cooking, traveling, Regina's cookie bars, Harry Potter, Celine Dion, and Musicals. It is such a treat to have Ms. Olivia as part of our dance instructor team!

This week for #teacherfeaturetuesday we would love to introduce you to Miss Kaitlyn!
Miss Kaitlyn began dancing at the young age of 4, under the instruction of Ms. Jennifer and Denise Edsall. She trained competitively in lyrical, jazz, and tap. To this day, she loves to both dance and choreograph all styles, with lyrical and contemporary as her favorite. Kaitlyn attended Clemson University with a major in Communications. During her time at Clemson, she was a member of the TigerStrut competition team and began her teaching career. Miss Kaitlyn joined the WCA team of dance instructors nearly five years ago and we simply love having her on board! Six months ago, Miss Kaitlyn’s family grew from two to three with the birth of her son Reece. She also has two dogs, loves coffee, and to read in her spare time. Thank you Miss Kaitlyn for all you do!

Music Pups® classes are for children ages 0-4 and their caregiver. Each 10 week session features award winning music, engaging activities, CD's, a caring, professional instructor, and excellent early childhood music education! Beginning this month (today through January 18th), our students have the option to participate in 100 Days of Practice to receive a trophy! 🏆 Students can pick up a practice pledge and goal chart from their instructor this week to join in.
