Showcase your talent as a family or individual in person or on our big screen! The word "talent" is being used loosely. You, your duo, or a group can do just about anything -- sing or lip-synch; dance; baton twirl or juggle; perform an amazing feat of any kind; draw or paint live; do stand up comedy; play an instrument or spoons; perform a skit or produce a short film... You name it, we want to see 3-5 minutes of it!
We'll connect in two ways:
1) Social distanced in-person gathering in the sanctuary, so come and perform and/or come to watch!
2) Send in your performance on video if you are uncomfortable coming to the church. (Details about submitting your video will be communicated to you once you sign up).
This event will be live-streamed so the whole congregation can take part and connect in the way each is most comfortable. What a great way to see an interesting or funny side of each other. We encourage all ages to get in on the fun!

WE DID IT!!! Because of your generous donations, we met our goal of raising $3000 for the Youth Justice Initiative! That amount will be matched for a total of $6,020 that will go to help youth in our community! Thanks for your help in supporting this important cause!

A Way in the Wilderness — West Des Moines Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
The Super Bowl is almost here and once again, WDMCC is teaming up with the DMARC Food Pantry to Tackle Hunger in our community! This year there are three ways to contribute:
1. Bring non-perishable food and/or cash donations on Sundays, January 31 & February 7. Earmark cash donations with The Chiefs, The Buccaneers or “the commercials.”
2. Bring donations to the church office during the week and leave them with the staff or in the yellow dropbox located outside the entrance to the Fellowship Hall building. Make sure to leave a note indicating your choice of team or commercials.
3. Donate on the church website (wdmcc.org), making sure to select your team’s fund from the dropdown menu at checkout.
We’ll announce the winner Sunday, February 7 along with the amount of food collected. Let’s team up and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors this year!
Evening Prayer
Are you a game enthusiast? Do you like the challenge of competition? Are you in need of a fun break? Would you like to see your friends? Do you need some safe space to be challenged and to laugh? Then join us on Thursday Nights, February 4th-February 25th from 7:00-7:45pm for GAME NIGHT. Each week we will divide up into 2 teams and play over ZOOM a fun game: Jeopardy, Family Feud, etc. You are welcome to join us for one night or all four.
