Happy 20th anniversary of WSWH! The women on the left(Drs. Cannon, Cardone, Murrey and Carpenter and midwife Shari Haney) came together to create a practice that could offer women compassionate, evidenced based care. And after Dr. Cannon and Shari retired we were joined by the doctors on the right (Drs. Porter, Malone and Rodriguez)who share our vision and have been such a positive addition to our group. Hope we get to see their post in 2040 celebrating another 20 yrs! Thanks to our patients who have trusted us with their care. It continues to be an honor to provide healthcare to the women in our community.

Q&A With The Doctors From West Suburban Women’s Health: Breast Cancer Awareness
West Suburban Women’s Health is aware of the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation to withhold the COVID-19 vaccine from pregnant individuals unless they are at high risk of exposure. Both the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal and Fetal Medicine continue to stress that both COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized by the US Food and Drug Administration should NOT be withheld from pregnant individuals who choose to receive the vaccine. ACOG and SMFM‘s current guidance regarding COVID-19 vaccine in pregnant patients remains in place.

During a time when it seems like all we hear is negative, we would be so honored to have you review us and let your neighbors and friends know where they can access excellent obstetric and gynecological care.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists says COVID-19 vaccinations should not be withheld from pregnant women, and that women should discuss individual risks and benefits with their health care providers.
The U.S. government’s emergency authorization for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines being rolled out for priority groups doesn’t list pregnancy as a reason to withhold the shots.
