Westridge family, we are saddened to share that our most beloved clinic cat, Striker, passed away this weekend. 💔 He had been powering through a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease and it was his time; however, his presence will be sorely missed. Ironically enough, Dr. Murray stopped in to check on some of his cases this weekend, and Striker was sitting in the hallway. He meowed at Dr. Murray a couple of times as he walked back and forth… maybe saying his goodbyes or that he enjoyed ticking Dr. Murray off when he'd sneak into his office… or how he would miss peeing in Dr. Burn's office in his spare time.. (😂) He was truly the best mascot, greeter, and watch-cat we could've had for nearly the past 16 years and many of you became as fond of him as we all were. We will miss him. 💛💛💛
If you have any memories or favorite things about Striker, (such as him sitting at reception, probably in your way when you were trying to check in or check out) we would love to hear them in the comments. We'll be sharing some of our staff's favorites of him in the comments as well throughout the day.

A talented team of Aggie veterinarians at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital recently completed a complex dental procedure that most other vets wouldn't even attempt!
Their patient, a North American river otter named Fisher, has fully recovered and is playing a key role in educating visitors about wildlife conservation at the Texas State Aquarium! tx.ag/FishertheRiverOtter

We are excited to introduce PAW (Pet Annual Wellness) Plans at Westridge!
Beginning February 9th after 1:00 pm (we will be closed for training that morning), we will be offering PAW Plans! PAW Plans are tailored to provide the recommended preventative healthcare for your pet at every stage of life, but with the flexibility to spread the cost of care in 12 convenient payments. Select plans may include exams, vaccinations, fecal test, blood work, and more! We think this is a great option to offer our clients and there are discounts for multi-pet households.

Due to increased exposure and positive cases of COVID in our community, as well as active cases in our staff, we will be reinstating Curbside Clinic tomorrow for the remainder of the week.
How Curbside Clinic works: Make an appointment. Once parked, remain in your car and call us to get checked in. Our staff will then come outside and escort you and your pet inside (or you can remain in your car and call to speak with the doc with your pet).
Rest assured, we continue to be diligent in sanitizing our office between clients and you and your pet’s care is most important to us. We will be open Monday - Wednesday this week and closed Thursday - Friday.
