Did you know that proper care expands a tire’s lifespan! 🚗 You can increase your tire's longevity by maintaining the correct air pressure, performing regular tire rotations and vehicle maintenance.
How long does a tire last? While there is no way to tell exactly how long a tire lasts, the lifespan and mileage of a tire depends of a combination of factors: its design, the driver’s habits, the climate, the road conditions and the care that's put into the tires. A few milestones: 5️⃣ After five years or more in use, your tires should be thoroughly inspected at least once per year by a professional. 🔟Ten years is a maximum- If the tires haven't been replaced 10 years after their date of manufacture, as a precaution, many tire brands recommend replacing them with new tires. Even if they appear to be in usable condition and have not worn down to the tread wear indicator. This applies to spare tires as well.

Emergency personnel, roadside workers, and tow truck drivers all help drivers every day! Be sure to give them a safe space to work by remembering to slow down and move over when you see their flashing lights! It's the law! 🚓🚒🛻 North Carolina General Statute 20-157: "Drivers are required to move over to another lane away from the emergency or utility vehicle if there are enough lanes on the highway to do so or to simply slow down if it is a two-lane road. This will help avoid any secondary car accidents."
Only 25 percent of driving occurs after dark, but 50 percent of crashes happen at night! Cloudy headlights do not produce enough light for safe nighttime driving, especially on unlit roads. The best way to improve nighttime visibility in cloudy headlights is by replacing your headlights with original equipment parts (as opposed to simply restoring the old headlights, or replacing with aftermarket parts). Make sure you add checking your headlights to your inspection routine!
