After reading through the updated Health Order and guidelines that were issued today, we wanted to let you know how these changes effect us and more importantly your access to massage.
Since we treat patients with referrals from their medical health care provider for massage treatment, we are considered a Limited Health Care Setting instead of Personal Care Services. This means we can stay open to see those with medical referrals even if we go into the new Purple Level.
Due to the high contact nature involved in providing massage treatments, we have decided to reduce appointments to those with medical referrals and those with an acute pain or injury status at this time. We know that many of you incorporate massage therapy into wellness plans so that you don't have recurrence of injuries or acute pain that you would otherwise take medication to manage. We are asking that if you currently have no significant pain that requires medication to manage, that you wait a few weeks to come in for your appointment.
Online Scheduling is currently disabled so that we can manage a waiting list to prioritize those who have been waiting the longest to get back into the schedule when we are able to lift the restrictions.
If you have an appointment currently scheduled and do not have an order from a physician, we will be reaching out to you to confirm your medical necessity status and cancel appointments as necessary. If you have a Membership plan with us, we have paused those and we will resume them when you are able to come in, unless you have given us other instructions.
We continue our commitment to you to keep a clean office and keep integrity with our health symptoms to cancel appointments if we have COVID related symptoms or any known exposures to COVID. Our goal is to exceed safety precautions so you can relax when you are in our office.
