Having an app for your business will allow your customers to skip the search. This video will give you the insight into what makes that possible. • • For more tips on apps, watch our last Ask Wildman: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1741439596021550&extid=sKilNYZ1pVAY5rAA
Three reasons you may want to invest in a mobile app: 1) Improve your customer service: - You’ll be available to your customers 24/7. When they want information or to make a purchase, they can do so whenever and wherever they please. 2) Build your brand recognition: - The more often someone sees your brand the more likely they will be to remember and purchase from you when needed. If you are a pizza place and someone sees your app on their phone multiple times a day, the next time they want pizza they are more likely to purchase from you. 3) Increase your engagement - Having an app will allow your customers to interact and engage with your brand in a new way. People are on their phones more now than ever, with an app you will make it easier for your customers to engage.

When advertising through Facebook, there are 3 overarching objectives you can have. 1) Awareness: generate interest in your product or service 2) Consideration: get people to think about you and look for more information on your business 3) Conversions: get people to buy your product or service One ad cannot hold all three objectives. Make sure you know who you are targeting and where they are in the sales funnel before determining your objective.

Reach is obviously an important factor when it comes to advertising, but so is frequency, how many times a user is shown an ad. After 5 or 6 impressions, your response rate starts to taper off. That may be the sweet spot for how many times you should show someone your ad for them to react to it. There is a correlation between more ad impressions and a better intent to act as well as ad recall.

Search engines strive to create the best user experience possible, providing the most relevant, useful information based on the user’s search terms. If they didn’t, users would no longer rely on them for information. The more relevant, informative and useful user experience you create, the better the chances that search engines will serve your pages. By practicing good search engine optimization (SEO) habits, you can continually work to increase your search engine results page (SERPs) position. One way to practice good SEO is by using relevant keywords. Using a keyword tool can help determine which words will help attract the most visitors based on popular search terms. Pick the most relevant, popular keywords for your business and try to rank for different keywords on your web page. • • • #seo #searchengine #searchengineoptimization #digitalmarketing #digital #digitalagency #digitalmarketingtools #digitaltransformation

Why is it so important to have an e-commerce element in your small business? With COVID came new trends in the small business world. One of those trends being online shopping. It's always important to meet your consumers where they are. Right now, they're on the web. It doesn't have to be a major addition to your business, but it is important to have at least some form of e-commerce included at this point.
Keyword research should never be a one-time commitment, but rather an ever-changing process that involves a strategy and a comprehensive understanding of your business and your industry. Including keywords that are specific to your business and industry will help to ensure that the right customers are being driven to your door rather than just any customer. Although we want to increase our customer base, we don’t want to target consumers that may not find the value in our business.

The first step to creating a successful social media ad campaign is to define your goals. This handy checklist walks you through all the information you'll need to define your advertising strategy. If you're looking for increased engagement and a higher ROI when it comes to your social advertising, starting by defining a strategy will be key. Without a strategy, the goals of your business and the goals of your advertising may not align, causing confusion among your brand and your audience.
You may be wondering why no matter how often you post, nobody seems to engage with your content. The first question you need to ask yourself is how often are you engaging with your following? • I know, it's easy to log into Facebook or Instagram, put up a post, then never look at it again until your next post. Don't do the easy thing. Your followers love knowing that you see them. Not only does it make your followers feel seen, it also adds another layer of communication between you. • If you want to see your social media and engagement rates grow, start engaging more with your followers. • Some easy things you can do to engage with your followers: 1) Reply to/like every comment someone makes on your posts. 2) Spend 10 minutes of your day liking and commenting in your feed. 3) Watch IG stories and interact with polls, quizzes and questions.
You should always be asking for reviews, whether they be good or bad. While it can be easy for your business to take negative comments to heart, it is important to recognize that reviews are constructive feedback. All in all, reviews are valuable feedback! They help your company gauge their performance and see how you can improve. There is always room for improvement and a lot can be learned even from positive business reviews. Through reviews, your business can see which products or services you should be boasting, which needs work, and even discover which employees rock at customer service.

Have you integrated TikTok into your social media campaign yet? It's not an app just for kids and teens. With over 800 million monthly active users this app gives you the potential for more brand recognition and reach. The average TikTok user spends 52 minutes of their day scrolling the app. Meeting your audience where they are is key to any marketing strategy, and TikTok can be a great way to get there.
Day 4: Know your customer. • To run a successful business, you need to understand what your customers want. When you know what they want and need, you'll be able to give them the best brand experience possible. This will lead to strong relationships between the brand and customer. That can then lead to good reviews, word-of-mouth recommendations and more sales. • Come back tomorrow for day 5 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
Lock in our current rates for the new year! Schedule a meeting and book your newest project by January 15th to secure today's rates.
Day 3: Update your content to improve SEO. • Updating older content on your website can increase your rankings in search. If moving up in search is your number 1 goal, updating content will save you the time and energy it would take to create brand new content. • You may have initially published an article a year ago, but if you update and re-publish the same article with new and more relevant information, search engines will list it as a more recent article, increasing your rankings in search. • Come back tomorrow for day 4 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips

Day 9: Invest in a mobile app. • Having a mobile app for your business will make it easier for you to promote your products or services. It gives you the ability to be in front of your audience almost 24/7. Consumers are spending a lot of their time on their phones, having an app allows you to meet them where they are. Even if they don't use your app very often, you'll still be on their home screen and every time they scroll to find any app they need, you'll be seen. This will bring your brand to the top of their mind when they are looking for something your brand offers. • Come back tomorrow for day 10 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
One of the easiest ways to grab attention on social media is through video. People tend to stop scrolling when they notice movement. Having a catchy intro as well as having something text based at the beginning of your video can also help catch attention. Understanding your target audience is very important, we aren’t trying to talk to everyone. Address their needs and wants in the first three seconds.
In today's world, you really need to have a website that can load quickly. The average consumer has the expectation for a website to load in 2 seconds, while the average site loads in 5. • When your website takes longer than 3 seconds to load, you will have about 40% of your traffic abandon your site. Slow web speeds will kill your conversions. Not only does it kill conversions, it can also kill your SEO. Higher bounce rates show search engines people don't like your website, pushing you down in search. • Want more information on website speed? Check out this article: https://wildmanweb.com/understanding-and-optimizing-your-website-speed/ • Come back tomorrow for day 9 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
Day 7: Post video on social. • Videos on social media get shared 1200% more than text and images combined. If you want the algorithms to play in your favor, posting content that will generate more engagement (including shares) will boost you to the top of people's feeds. • Come back tomorrow for day 8 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
Day 6: Turn old content into new content. • Re-using content? More like re-utilizing. • That podcast you posted a month ago? Pull a quote from it, make a graphic, and now you have another piece of content! You can do this for so many different types of content! Have older blog posts that have gotten buried? Use some of that copy for your next social post's caption. • Turning your old content into new content will save you both time and money. No more spending hours thinking about your next great post, when you already have it, you just haven't found its new purpose. • Come back tomorrow for day 7 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
Day 5: Start using a chatbot. • Chatbots can save you a lot of time and money. Have you ever spent too much time answering the same question for multiple people? Things like, "When are you open?", "Where is my order?" and "Where are you located?". These questions could be answered quickly, without you even seeing them if you used a chatbot. • Chatbots are becoming more and more common and could save your business time and money. Not only that, they can also improve your consumers brand loyalty. Positive experiences with chatbots typically lead to an increase in brand loyalty. • Come back tomorrow for day 6 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.
Should a new website be on your 2021 to-do list? If you haven't had an update in the last 2-3 years, you should definitely be thinking about it. As time goes on, best practices change when it comes to a website. What used to be a beautiful design, could now show just how old your website is. When people come to your website, what they see is what they think they will get. If they see an outdated website, they are more likely to believe they'll get lower quality service. A newer, shinier website will lead potential customers to view you as an authority in the industry and be more inclined to use your business. Not only does the look of your website matter, so does the speed. If your website takes longer than 3 seconds to load, you may notice a high bounce rate. With a high bounce rate, your brand isn't being seen by customers that try to visit your site, but also by other potential customers. A high bounce rate kills your SEO ranking, and you'll get bumped down in search.
Day 12: Work on SEO in smaller search engines. • Since search engines like Yahoo and Bing don’t have nearly the market share that Google does, people tend to overlook them and don’t focus on them at all. There are a couple of benefits you’d get for working on the smaller engines. Typically with SEO you could work for 5 hours and not see results for weeks. Going into a smaller market like Yahoo Search will allow you to see changes a lot faster and more dramatically. Something that might be a .5 ranking change on Google could be a 10 ranking change on Yahoo and it happens 10 times faster. Use the smaller markets to test your optimization and make sure that what you’re doing will work in the bigger markets.
Happy holidays from all of us at Wildman Web Solutions!
Day 11: Respond to your negative reviews. • How you respond to a negative review impacts not only the reviewer, but all the sets of eyes that come afterward. Seeing a business handle a particularly challenging review online suggests that management is proud of their business, and willing to go the extra mile to maintain their reputation! • Come back tomorrow for day 12 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips • Want to learn more about responding to negative reviews, head to https://wildmanweb.com/how-to-respond-to-negative-reviews/
Don't skip out on SEO for Yahoo and Bing. • Since search engines like Yahoo and Bing don’t have nearly the market share that Google does, people tend to overlook them and don’t focus on them at all. There are a couple of benefits you’d get for working on the smaller engines. Typically with SEO you could work for 5 hours and not see results for weeks. Day 10: Make a presence on newer and smaller social platforms. • Smaller businesses can utilize smaller social media platforms to get a little bit more bang for their buck. Bigger businesses are staying on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, making their advertising more expensive. Anytime you join a new and emerging platform, you are able to more easily gain followers and have organic content seen. If you’re there first, you’ll have much less competition and be able to get to the top and gain a larger more loyal following. • Come back tomorrow for day 11 of the 12 Days of Digital Marketing Tips.

Content creates community. The vehicle to creating community is content. Creating content will take you from just being a commodity seller to creating a brand and then you can build your community around that.
Our machines have gotten to the point where they can access massive amounts of data and process it so quickly that they can make intelligent decisions. In the future, chatbots will become more and more natural. Currently, when you set up a chatbot, you have to set up different conversational branches. You have to manually input all of the if-then situations. There are getting to be more and more assistive technologies that make our chatbots smarter and able to make more decisions on their own.
If your website is still HTTP, it's time to make the switch. Year over year, more people are spending more time on HTTPS websites. According to Google’s transparency report, HTTPS connections on both mobile and desktop are becoming more prevalent. Desktop users are spending two-thirds of their time on HTTPS websites and loading over half of the pages they view over HTTPS. Why are people spending more time on these website? They are more secure. If you want your customers to trust your brand and feel comfortable putting their personal information through your site, make the switch. If you want to learn more about HTTPS, check out our most recent article: https://wildmanweb.com/why-you-should-have-an-https-website/
Is your website secure? Since 2018, Google Chrome has been marking all HTTP websites as not secure. It takes .05 seconds for web users to form an opinion about your site. Most potential customers will automatically lose trust in your brand when the first thing they see is that your website is not secure, thinking you don’t care about keeping their personal information concealed. Not only will you be missing potential sales by customers not feeling comfortable putting in their personal information, they may not even stay on your site long enough to see what you have to offer. Want to learn more? Check out this article on why you should have an HTTPS site: https://wildmanweb.com/why-you-should-have-an-https-website/

Google search's autocomplete isn’t based on popularity alone, as most people assume. In addition to recent Google searches, there are several other factors taken into account: • Common and Trending Queries • Language and Location • Freshness • Intuitive Suggestions Based on Similar Types of Queries There are certain predictions you are less likely to see: • Unexpected or shocking • Untrue and mistaken for fact • Violent, sexually explicit, hateful, disparaging, or dangerous • Likely to return unreliable content • Offensive, hurtful, or inappropriate queries in relation to named individuals Google understands that their protective system may keep some useful predictions from showing up, and they admit taking "a particularly cautious approach when it comes to names and might prevent some non-policy violating predictions from appearing." They also know that even if a prediction isn’t auto-generated, the user can still type in the desired keywords related to their query and view the search results.

70% of consumers say they'd rather order directly from a restaurant. They'd prefer that their money goes straight to the restaurant and not a third party. Third party delivery services such as DoorDash, UberEats, EatStreet and many others could charge your business anywhere from 15-30% commission for each order placed through the service. You could save your business a lot of money by integrating a native online ordering service into your operation.

Are you one of the lucky 2 million members to have joined Clubhouse? Or are you wondering "what the heck is that?". Clubhouse is becoming one of the most sought out social platforms to be on. This could be due to its exclusivity. You can only join if you receive an invite, and you can only invite a select few of your friends/people in your network. Clubhouse is an audio based social platform. You can create a room, and that room then becomes your stage. You can also join other's rooms to sit in on the conversation and ask questions. Think of it as going to a professional conference, but from the comfort of your own home. This is not an app for selling. It is a great space to add value for your brand through information. It's a new form of content creation that any marketer or small business should get excited about!

Chatbots are one of the most useful strategies you could utilize for your small business. Your employees will have more time to work on other more important tasks, instead of answering someones simple question of "are you open?". A chatbot can be there to answer all of your customer questions any time of day. This will also increase your customers brand loyalty. Knowing your brand is there for them when they need you will make them trust you. All of these things will then allow you to cut down your operational costs. If you're tired of wasting your time and money answering questions that could be answered practically on their own, a chatbot is the perfect solution for you!

Reels update! Gone are the days of being able to upload an already made TikTok to Reels. Instagram is now limiting reach on Reels that haven't been filmed directly within the app. They went as far as to make a post yesterday stating "don't post a reel that is visibly recycled from other apps (i.e. contains logos and watermarks)." This is a direct hit at creators who repost their TikToks to Reels. These types of posts will be downranked in Reels and the Explore page, making it harder for your business to be seen. These videos won't be deleted from your page, and you can still upload them if you want. However, if you're looking for all of the growth to your account that reels has seemed to bring, you won't find it by reposting content from your TikTok.

Demand for food delivery is higher than it has ever been. According to Nation’s Restaurant News, “51% of Americans use delivery services to purchase meals from casual dining restaurants, and 26% order takeout or delivery at least once a week.” With these high rates of delivery usage, it’s important that your restaurant has an option for delivery. Preferably a native delivery option. With native delivery, you will better know how to cater to your customers by collecting your own first party data, whether that be from paying customers or someone who just visits your website. With a third-party service, you may not get the data you need. They could be collecting the wrong data, or they may not be collecting any at all. Another downside to third-party delivery and data is that you don’t own any of the data you collect, and your insights could be given to your competitors. Want to make the switch to native delivery? Head to our website! www.wildmanweb.com

Organic reach is important for a small business. That's why you need to be on TikTok.
With native delivery, you can train your delivery drivers and set expectations of how you would like your brand to be represented. If a customer has a bad experience with a third-party driver, though they aren’t affiliated with you, your brand still suffers the consequences. Only with your own delivery drivers can you provide customers with the same customer service provided in-house. Being able to stay consistent with your brand and your customer service will allow for a stronger sense of brand loyalty in your customers. For more on native delivery head to https://1l.ink/K5LFZSS

Third party data is going to become harder and harder to collect as companies begin to regulate what data they and other companies can collect from their users. Having internal practices in place to be able to collect first and zero party data will be extremely important if you want your company to grow.
Optimize voice search to improve your SEO. Mobile voice searches are now starting to become a common practice among consumers. It has come to light that mobile voice searches are 3X more likely to be related to something local, compared to text searches. However, voice search is still relatively new, and many businesses are yet to capitalize on it. Hence, optimizing your site and content for voice now will help you stay ahead of your competitors.
Your target audience may not always be who you think it is. This is especially true when it comes to the ever evolving landscape of social media.

Content creation is not only important for marketing, it's also extremely important for SEO. Creating non-local content for a locally focused business will do you no good. For better lead generation, you need to create content that is locally relevant. The best way to go about it would be by incorporating local keywords into content related to the products and/or services you offer. You can also come up with content that revolves around local news and events related to your business or industry.
Utilizing Google My Business can help your business more than you might think.
Starting a podcast can open a new window of opportunity for your small business. It can allow you to connect with your target audience in a new way and build your brand loyalty. Always remember to meet your customers where they are. We are living in a mobile first world, so it would be a great idea for your small business to invest in a mobile app or a text messaging service. The ability for your customers to see you on their phone almost everyday will lead to brand recognition as well as brand loyalty.

Using banned tags defeats the purpose of using a hashtag at all. A good hashtag strategy will increase your reach, impressions and hopefully your engagement. Using banned hashtags won’t affect any of those things as your post won’t be found within the “recent” section of that tag, because it no longer exists for the time being (or permanently depending on the tag). This could really hurt your reach if you’re only using one or two hashtags and one or both are banned. It will seem as if you didn’t use any tags at all. If you’ve checked your insights and it seems like you’re not reaching accounts from your tags, you may be using banned tags. The obvious way to avoid this problem is to simply not use that hashtag. Substitute it with a tag that is still active! There are a number of reasons why hashtags will get banned. The simplest reason? Too many people are posting against Instagram’s user guidelines under that hashtag.
We always talk about adding value when creating content for your target audience. There are three main types of value you can and should be providing.

Regardless of what technology you choose or what platform you choose, your goal should be to present yourself authentically and to have at least the closest approximation you can to a one-on-one conversation with each and every individual member of your audience, whether that’s a hundred people or a million. That’s why we’re seeing better and better open and conversion rates from email up to Instagram, up to Facebook and up to texts because those platforms encourage that one-on-one personal connection. Consumers want a business to feel like family or a friend. They want to feel like you're taking care of them and their needs, and that you're there when they need you. Utilizing messenger, text and other one-on-one tools will help organically grow your business.
A website is truly the most critical first step you can take toward getting discovered and connecting with more people. So, if you still don't have one, get on it, pronto.

One common and easily fixable mistake small business owners may make when creating an account for their business is not utilizing the function of having a business account. Having a business account will allow you to view analytics and insights of your posts, whereas a normal account won’t allow you to do this. These insights are key to helping you reach your social media goals and know what will work best for your business.
