William H. Kresge Funeral Home has been a family operated funeral facility in Brodheadsville, PA for over a century spanning four generations. Our founder, William A. Kresge, started out as a furniture store owner in the late 1800's, then branched out into the funeral business. Later, his son, Eugene Kresge, ran the business and in the late 1930's William H. Kresge, Eugene's son, took over the business. In the 1980's, Thomas J. Kresge bought the funeral home from his father and has been the supervisor ever since. Currently, Thomas C. Kresge is serving his internship at the funeral home and upon his licensure, he will be come the fifth generation funeral director in the family business.
We pride ourselves in offering our clients a funeral home service which is welcoming, caring and dignified. It is our hope that our clients feel at home here. Our objective has always been the comfort of our clients, therefore we continue to provide the area with professional, trustworthy and affordable funeral merchandise and services. We are dedicated to honoring your loved one's memory and to helping you make the critical decisions to do so.
We have recently completed our renovations to better serve your needs. We now offer a smaller more intimate chapel to hold service up to seventy five people. Along with this chapel is a family break room, where families can spend time by themselves if the need arises. The break room includes a small kitchenette where families can have water or coffee, plus their own private bathroom. Of course we still offer our large chapel, the largest in Monroe County, that can accommodate up to two hundred people. Even more recently, we purchased the property next to the funeral home to expand our parking capability and in the near future there will also be access to the funeral home directly from Route 715, alleviating some of the traffic problems.
