William Jacquette is a Registered Architect in the state of New York and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He has conducted a practice of specifications consulting for other architects since 1992, is a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) and is a member of Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, College of Architecture.
Prior to starting his specifications practice, Mr. Jacquette worked with an international construction management firm, and for thirty years at two mid-sized New York City architectural firms.
As a Design Manager with the pre-construction division of Lehrer McGovern International in London, England, he functioned as a catalyst and coordinator between the planners, architects, engineers and various specialist consultants during the design phases of Waterloo International Terminal for the Channel Tunnel trains, and the Canary Wharf Development at the London Docklands.
As a Senior Associate at Ulrich Franzen and Associates, Mr. Jacquette designed or managed many academic, commercial and residential projects including the Cornell University Veterinary Research Building, Hunter College Expansion, Philip Morris Headquarters and 14 different facilities for Miller Brewing Company throughout the US.
At David Todd and Associates and its two predecessor firms, where he started his career designing Caribbean resort hotels and residences, he was project architect for a number of academic and service buildings at State University of New York, College at New Paltz.
In 1993 he Joined CSI, served as Program Committee chair of the Metropolitan New York Chapter for six years and is currently Technical Committee chair. He has conducting seminars on the implementation of the new MasterFormat 2004 Expansion. On the national level, he participated as an Institute Task Team member for the preparation and writing of CSI’s Uniform Drawing System manual which is now used by architects and engineers as a design office production resource.
Mr. Jacquette is preparing or has recently completed for various architects, bid and construction specifications for several diverse projects: Office building renovations, a new NYC public school, an 8,000 sf summer and weekend home on the North Fork of Long Island, a renovation and addition to a YMCA Aquatic Center, a raquet sports club renovation and addition, a LEED Silver Certified 190 unit residential building for the homeless, and a LEED Certified community center for Battery Park City residents.
