Throughout his career, Kobe established himself as a clutch NBA shooter. There is a short list of popular NBA players that wouldn't hesitate to take the big shot when time was running out.
Kobe was known to be a laser focused shooter and yet, an excellent defender.
On January 22nd, 2006, in a comeback victory at home, Kobe finished with 81 points and beat the Toronto Raptors. He was most certianly laser focused.
What a game!
According to Acts 6:14-15; Stephen's focus was on Jesus. Matter of fact, Stephen was laser focused! Though people with twisted words, inappropriate behaviors, and false accusations tried to get in his way, Stephen remained 'FIRM' in the faith. He refused to let worldly distractions obscure his heavenly focus. Spiritually, I can imagine heaven cheering with a glorious celebration of joy. YES!
From his vantage point, he saw Jesus. The One Who had captured his heart. That uninterrupted view gave him strength to face his foes with courage.
Questions: Where is your focus? Are you laser focused in the promises of God, or the things of this world only?
Pondering thought: Kobe was admired for his skillset, however don't forget that he spent countless hours practicing. Stephen spent valuable time developing his faith. YES!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to remain laser focused on and in my faith. AMEN!

Thank you to all who participated in our WSCOG Virtual Women's Waist Up Tea & Fellowship. We decided, nothing will stop us from coming together as a Christian body of women. We use Zoom these days for everything else so we decided upon a virtual tea. Ladies dressed exquisitely from the waist up and had the opportunity to reveal their relaxed attire on the bottom halfs of their bodies. You can just imagine how funny this must have been. Pajama bottoms, work-out shorts, galoshes, snow boots, and more. We heard great empowering music, heard the word of God, inspiring poetry, uplifting recitations from great authors, played games and won prizes. It was so wonderful seeing the sisters of WSCOG interacting and enjoying the company of each other, it has been too long. We thank our out of town guest for joining us and thank Pastor Lloyd for co-piloting the Zoom platform. Here are some pictures from our event.

Pastor Wade Hughes shared a story about a little boy who came to the altar, in many tears, he was praying.
Pastor Wade knelt next to him. He said, "Preacher, pray that mommy would love me as much as the dog?"
Question: Was there an element of truth to his prayer request? Was his prayer request too complicated?
What I admire the most about this youngman, he was sincere and clear.
Question: do you have a prayer request? The youngman did not hold back. Will you?

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. Hold on to your FAITH!!!! No matter what your situation may look like, God's got it, and He's working it out for your good! In everything, give thanks. This is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you".
Matthew 6:33
Here's a question to start us off: How do I seek God first? I remember reading, for some, the answer is to make sure that the first action a Believer take in the morning is to commune with God! Wake up and enter into prayer, meditation, reading the Bible or a sound devotion. This is truly putting God first, and without a doubt, placing Him first daily. YES!
Next, what is the result of seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness first? There is a peace, comfort, a growing assurance, and discernment that will manifest during 2021 if we seek God through His word. The Word remains our CONSTANT and it centers us. Amen! This passage centers on worldly concerns like worry or anxieties and temptations that each of us face. So keep in mind that Jesus was conscious of the pressures and concerns His disciples would encounter. Stay with me, His words provided explanation for what they would face in their journeys of seeking God and His kingdom and righteousness. Glory!
Let's punch this out just a bit more. This verse is not saying seek what you want from God, like riches, materialistic stuff or something that benefits you only. 'SEEK' God, His kingdom agenda, the calling he has placed on your life, His righteousness (those things contained in His Word) - seek these things first.
Unfortunately, there are a huge number of Christians who have been lead to believe, we receive all that we ask for. Remember, we don't serve a vending machine God! He promised us in Phillipians 4:19 the that ...God shall supply all your NEED according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus" not all of our WANTS. Praise God!
The word of God reminds us in Matthew 6:8 that our Father knows what we need even before we ask. Trust Him and learn to walk by FAITH for 2021 NOT BY SIGHT.

ፓስተር ስዊንዶል እንደተናገሩት; "ድፍረትን በጦር ሜዳ ወይም በኢንዲያናፖሊስ 500 ወይም በጀግንነት በቤትዎ ውስጥ ሌባ ለመያዝ አይወሰንም። እውነተኛዎቹ የድፍረት ሙከራዎች በጣም ጥልቅ እና ጸጥ ያሉ ናቸው። እነሱ ውስጣዊ ሙከራዎች ናቸው ፣ ማንም በማይፈልግበት ጊዜ በታማኝነት እንደመቀጠል ፣ እንደ ህመም መቋቋም በተሳሳተ ግንዛቤ ሲረዱ ብቻዎን እንደመቆም ክፍሉ ባዶ ነው ፡፡

Cultivar el coraje
El pastor Swindoll declaró; "El valor no se limita al campo de batalla o las 500 Millas de Indianápolis o atrapar valientemente a un ladrón en tu casa. Las verdaderas pruebas de valor son mucho más profundas y silenciosas. Son las pruebas internas, como permanecer fiel cuando nadie mira, como soportar el dolor cuando la habitación está vacía, como estar solo cuando no te entienden ". Amén.
Cultivar el coraje para valerse por sí mismo es un proceso, sin importar el tiempo para desarrollarlo. Arar las áreas de su corazón con la Palabra de Dios produce 'VALOR'!
Repasemos Josué 1:19. Dice; “No te lo he mandado? Se fuerte y valiente. No tengas miedo; no te desanimes, porque el Señor tu Dios estará contigo dondequiera que vayas ”. Amados, recuerden que si Dios estaba con Josué, ciertamente Él está con nosotros. 2020 fue un desafío, sin embargo, su fe le brindó el valor para seguir adelante. ¡Gloria! Medita: "Sé fuerte y valiente. No tengas miedo, no te desanimes, porque el Señor tu Dios estará contigo dondequiera que vayas".
