Why Are End of Life Conversations Important?
Don't let your LLC become terminated! The Virginia State Corporation Commission charges $50.00 each year as an assessment for limited liability companies (LLCs). Failure to pay this small fee can result in termination of your LLC. At the time that your LLC is terminated, acts done on behalf of the company are actually done on behalf of the individual who signs. Even worse, judgment liens against the individual members attach to any real property held by the terminated LLC. Naming a professional who is NOT a member of the limited liability company as LLC's registered agent create one more protection from becoming terminated.
