I made another trip out to Sharon Springs, NY to the Beekman 1802 Farm to layout and install the Proven Winners shade garden around the old crypt. As usual there is rain to deal with in the fall that made for a wet afternoon. I took a few minutes to look over the main garden that we installed this spring. I was amazed at all the color that was still showing for this late in the season!
We had a busy morning at the nursery today! An early morning pour of concrete that will be the base to our new potting shed. It will house a new potting machine that is on its way here from Italy. It didn’t get done in time for fall potting but we are excited to have it ready for next spring. Thanks to Cole Concrete!

Our nursery is open Monday - Friday 8 am to 3 pm. We are fully stocked with great perennials, shrubs, & trees. We plant new product weekly. Late summer and fall are some of the best times to plant!

I made a trip out to the west side of Chicago to install a new landscape for Proven Winners. We built a couple of dry stack stone walls and installed many Proven Winners shrubs and perennials. In a couple years this landscape will be photographed for the Proven Winners gardener idea book.
Just finished up a 600 sq ft patio! Unilock Beacon Hill granite with a charcoal color border.
Our new potting machine has arrived! It took much longer to get here from Italy and we just missed the end of our fall potting season. We are excited for spring so we can get planting again.

Installed a outcropping wall with precast steps today. Now to finish off the front yard with new landscaping beds tomorrow.
Here is an elevated shot of the nursery from the lift before we covered up the rest of the houses for the winter. We had a lot of changes this season!
Today we finished this patio extension that will have a new hot tub installed on it for a client.
We finished our last project for the season today! We extended the front patio to go around to the back of this house. There were two egress windows we had to build walls around as well. On the other side we installed a fire pit with a chipped stone patio. I am ready for a break to rest, plan, and continue growing my industry knowledge.
What do we do when we are on vacation? Visit other nurseries when we are in Florida.
