Our Wired Production Group family has an important announcement to make. Many of you may know and love our audio engineer, Ian TheAnimal Miller. Ian has made the decision to push pause on his audio career and enlist in the United States Army. In his words, the pandemic has brought a window of opportunity for him to do some things that he has wanted to do and test himself in ways that he hasn't before. We all know that Ian is wise beyond his years and has the mental and physical strength to do ANYTHING he puts his mind to. Ian will be beginning his basic combat training followed by his advanced individual training to achieve his ultimate goal: to be an Army Ranger.
We are going to miss Ian terribly. Our hearts will be heavy as we send him off in just a few days, but he makes our Wired family so incredibly proud. We cannot wait to hear all about his adventure and we look forward to supporting him in his journey as a soldier in the United States Army. Congratulations, Ian! We wish you the best of luck.

Eric Freese has been the driving force behind our virtual and hybrid events since 2016 - and this year has been his time to shine as our LiveWired Live Streaming Events Director. Believe it or not, he is also our Senior Editor and Videographer! Talk about a many of many talents.
When we asked him about his favorite moments of 2020, here's what he had to share: "I've loved working on the final installment of the Collins Radio documentary series. The biggest thing I've learned is that as a company, and also personally, being able to pivot and adapt is critical this year. And I've learned how adaptable WPG is." #WeAreWired
This year, we've been able to work on awesome projects that normally wouldn't fit into our busy live events schedule. This has included a number of installations for clients in the Midwest. When we asked our COO, Aaron Wells, what his favorite project of this year has been, he commented that the audio and video equipment installation at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls was one of his favorites. Take a look at their beautiful set up!! 😍
Between driving our trucks, managing our installation projects, and somehow still making time to do his real job (audio!), Lance hasn't stopped. His motivation to do great things every day is awesome. When we asked him what he has enjoyed most about this year, he said that he "liked learning about doing shows completely remotely. That was new for me this year." #WeAreWired
Despite this woman working from home for the majority of the year, Nicole has been heavily involved in the creative design and direction of our virtual events in 2020. "Our company is very lucky to have the experience working in virtual and hybrid events - so pivoting this year to nearly all virtual to meet the needs of our clients has been pretty smooth for us. There is new technology every day for us to learn and challenge ourselves. I cannot get over how much heart and soul our team puts in to each event and each video production. I am so thankful and so proud of our Wired family. No pandemic can stop us!"
