About

Following a lifelong dream of opening a gallery to showcase his and other local artists' works, Jim Woodfield opened Woodfield Fine Art Gallery in the Grand Central District of beautiful Saint Petersburg, Florida in November of 2015. The gallery bears Woodfield's motto, "Pursuing a passion, realizing a dream."

After working out of a small studio space in the Warehouse Arts District for two years, in November of 2015 Jim was able to open Woodfield Fine Art Gallery in St. Petersburg's Grand Central District. He maintains a small studio in the back of the gallery where he continues to produce portraits and other works of art.

Woodfield Fine Art Gallery has held true to its original intent to showcase only the original art of Tampa Bay area artists, where art enthusiasts can view and buy art that is not mass produced or tagged as collectible just because it has a number. The Gallery carries the works of both emerging as well as nationally renowned award winning artists. Most art media are represented. Paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media combine with photography, sculpture, ceramics, and glass works to provide a complete gallery experience.

Keeping an art gallery in business is like being in the middle of a lake in a leaky boat with no oars hoping for a breeze to push you ashore. Like water into the boat, every piece of art we bring into the gallery needs to sell for us to stay afloat, and only with enough business through the door can we hope to reach a firm footing at the shore of success. To those who have helped keep Woodfield Fine Art Gallery afloat during these difficult times, we thank you.
Introducing the sculptural wall art of Diohn Leoni. Woodfield Fine Art Gallery is pleased to welcome the beautiful thought provoking works of this talented local artist. Diohn creates ceramic sculptures of human faces that are embellished with elements of nature, symbolism, and mythology. Having worked 30 years as a clinical psychologist, Diohn's art is informed by her lifelong interest in understanding the human psyche and what lies beneath the surface of our personas. You can view these amazing works of art at our gallery at 2253 Central Avenue, or view them on our website at www.woodfieldfineart.com. We are open from 11 to 5 every Wednesday through Saturday.

Our website offers a wonderful collection of original art. One of the collections is called The Attic, and it contains original art pieces that are either small decorative items, objects from personal collections up for resale, or estate items looking for a new home. We have recently consigned some beautiful original watercolors from an estate that are listed at prices below their market value. Something different for Woodfield Fine Art Gallery. I just completed a new sculpture piece. It is large at 83" tall by 32" wide by 22" deep, and is titled "Truths & Lies." I am not sure whether I will have a space for it at the gallery, but I will be posting it online at www.woodfieldfineart.com. If interested, I am only asking $1,800 for it, and as with all of my art, that price is negotiable.
