Roman was a model patient today! 🥰 Dr. Funfsinn stopped petting him while she typed up his record so he came up to make sure she didn’t forget about him.
No pants were harmed in the taking of this photo! Not that she would have cared!

Dottie came in the holiday spirit today! She was the friendliest shark we’ve ever met. Bella got lots of kisses and Dr. Leverentz says she was a perfect patient!

Ernie came in style for his nail trim today! He is being modeled by Madison, our new assistant hospital manager! We’re so happy to have you both be part of the Woodlake Team!
You may have several questions watching this video.
1. Why is Dr. Godding chucking a green oval at Brittany?
A. That green oval is actually an avocado piñata. We couldn't think of a clever way to hang it so this seemed like a reasonable option.
2. Why is the piñata an avocado?
A. Good question.
3. Why is Dr. Godding dressed like a skeleton?
A. Tech week was a very busy week for us (well, OK, all weeks are busy weeks lately), so we couldn't smash the piñata until Halloween.
4. Is Brittany using some sort of a hanger to hit the piñata?
A. This is a strange piece of metal that has been floating around the clinic for many many years. We have no idea what its original purpose was intended for, but it seems to keep coming in handy.

🚨 ATTENTION: Does your pet need to be spayed or neutered soon? Does your Paw Plan with a dental cleaning expire soon and you need to schedule the dental cleaning? Please call ASAP to get on the surgery schedule. We have had an increased demand for surgery appointments and at this time, our next available surgery appointment is in early March. We want to make sure all of our patients can get the care they need, when they need it!

Max! He visited us today for some vaccine boosters with Dr. Leverentz. He is just adorable and wants to be everyone’s friend!
We have some sad news to share. Last night we said goodbye to Gus, our beloved clinic cat. Gus had been at Woodlake for 9 years and his absence is profoundly felt. He was the best front door greeter and during COVID he was enjoying semi retirement, often found napping in the doctor office in his favorite box. He battled chronic kidney disease and we were determined to never let him suffer or be in pain. We are grateful that he was able to be loved by so many and surrounded by all that love in his last moments.

Has your pet ever come back to the car smelling like cheese, peanut butter, or chicken? We LOVE treat bribes during otherwise scary or uncomfortable procedures like nail trims and vaccines. This is Sully, she doesn’t usually like nail trims (who does?!). A little cheese made everything better for her though!
