🚨GOOD NEWS ALERT! 🚨
😷 The dental community in Jonesboro is truly amazing. We donated (literally) a truck full of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, and disposable coats) to St. Bernards hospital! We are so humbled by the generosity of our fellow dental professionals and so proud to be able to help our community in this trying time. While this gear is vital to us every day in our practices, we knew our supplies would make a real difference for the medical professionals and hospital staff working so hard to take care of patients at this time.
We encourage everyone to look out for each other now and always. We are blessed to live in such a loving community. Thank you to our partners in kindness, Dr. James B. Woodruff Family Dental is seeking an experienced dental professional for our Patient Coordinator position. Someone who is ready to help change the lives of patients, be a part of our team, & grow personally and professionally within our fun & upbeat work family!
We are looking for a team oriented individual who is outgoing with impressive communication skills, organized, professional, service minded and willing to go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of the job.
Woodruff Family Dental has a passionate focus on all aspects of the patient journey and delivering a positive experience; we are also motivated to deliver a positive experience and growth opportunities for our Patient Coordinators, since YOU are the reason for our patients’ experiences.
Patient Coordinator duties include but not limited to the following:
-greeting patients with a smile :)
-register new patients according to established office protocols
-assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
-verify and update patient information
-inform patients of dental office procedures and policies
-move patients through appointments as scheduled
-enter all relevant patient information into practice management software (Open Dental)
-maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
-answer and manage incoming calls
-respond and comply to requests for information
-schedule patient appointments
-confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
-check daily appointment schedule
-organize referrals to other medical specialists
-dispatch lab work appropriately
-maintain a professional reception area
-safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
REQUIREMENTS:
*Knowledge of dental terminology required.
*Knowledge of dental insurance (preferred but not required)
*Minimum of (1) year in dental front office setting or dental assisting.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
