For our social media community, it was love at first sight. With over 500 “likes” and countless offers of adoption, finding a home for Gypsy was never going to be a problem. The challenge was in finding HER home. Thankfully, after three days and over 800 shares, we were able to reunite her with her family!
Thank you to our Facebook friends for all of your help. Gypsy’s story is just one example of the things we can accomplish when we work together!

They say dress for the home you want, so Tux showed up for his #K9ForADay adventure in formal wear! After stopping for a few treats at Woof Gang Bakery, Tux headed to the island and joined Officers Thomas and Jones on patrol. He may look a little tough at first glance, but this Pit Bull mix was gentle with kids and even enjoyed a dance!

Cody may not have done any surfing while he was on the island, but he’ll definitely be the Big Kahuna of your heart! The weather seemed to keep most people indoors today, but that didn’t stop Cody from doing a little sightseeing during his #K9ForADay adventure. From patrolling Tybrisa to window shopping at Tybee Oaks, Cody was determined to do it all. He even managed to score a complimentary frozen treat from the great people at Beau & Arrow’s Frozen Yogurt! At 7 years old, this mixed breed has the distinction of being the oldest to participate in the program to date. That means he’s mild mannered, great on a leash and full of love!

During her #K9ForADay adventure, This 1 year old Hound mix dropped in to see our friend Macie at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Savannah before hitting the island for a “Girls’ Day Out” with Officer Charlene Nettles. Are you wondering why Oakley is named after a pair of sunglasses? Because her future is just too bright! This 3 year old Boxer/Mastiff mix kicked off her #K9ForADay adventure with a manicure and a new accessory courtesy of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Savannah. Afterwards she stopped for coffee before joining Officer Stuber for a little foot patrol. Her likes include Starbucks, walks, frozen yogurt and BELLY RUBS! Her dislikes? Other dogs. This sweet girl definitely sees herself as the queen of the castle and will need to be in a single dog household.
