At World of Animals at Elkins Park our licensed veterinarians, Dr. Tanya Kameneva, Dr. Robert W. Stewart Jr., and Dr. Lino Giampaolo are here to keep your pets healthy and your mind worry-free.
The best way to treat an emergency is to prevent it in the first place. At World of Animals at Elkins Park, we strive to provide preventive care to make sure your pet stays well and avoids any unnecessary medical emergencies. Dogs or cats can become infected with a parasite at any point in their life and at World of Animals at Elkins Park we will perform an annual fecal examination as a part of a thorough preventive health program. Routine physical examinations, vaccinations and communication between you and your veterinarian will help to prevent problems before they start.

World of Animals at Elkins Park is open 7 days a week, including week night hours till 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday hours. Dear Elkins Park family, Due to the current covid-19 crisis, It is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to merge the Elkins Park location with our larger sister hospital in Huntingdon Valley. The restrictions placed on us, as well as the community, and shortage of supplies, have made it impossible to remain open at this time. This is not something we take lightly and we deeply regret that we are no longer able to see appointments at our Elkins Park location. Rest assured we stay committed to helping and caring for all our patients and are available 7 days a week at our other nearby locations in Huntingdon Valley and Mayfair. Have no fear your records are all safe and accessible to you and our doctors. Dr Stupine is working out of our Huntingdon Valley office and we will be transitioning our support staff to other locations soon. We hope to be able to bring Dr Messina back at one of our other offices once the crisis is under control. It has been an honor and a pleasure serving you and your pets these past four and a half years. Dear Clients Due to the recent escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak, World of Animals Veterinary Hospitals have decided to take the following steps to help minimize the chance of our clients and staff contracting the disease. While we plan to continue to remain open throughout the duration of this pandemic, we will be taking the following steps and ask for your help and cooperation during this difficult time. We ask that if you are not feeling well or may be at risk of exposure to coronavirus that you please ask someone else to transport you pet or – if it is a wellness visit – please reschedule to a time you are feeling better. 1) We will be asking all owners to check-in for appointments from their car or outside our offices for the duration of your pet's appointment. One of our team members will collect your pet and bring them in for our doctors' to examine. 2) If possible please complete the history form/questions in advance of your visit. The questions will be sent by email when you schedule an appointment and can be filled out and returned. Otherwise a team member will call you to get answers to some preliminary questions. 3) Please keep your phones available while your pet is inside the office, the doctor will call after examining your pet to discuss any findings and to help determine a treatment plan with you for your pet. 4) Once the visit is complete and all medications ready we will call to take payment over the phone. 5) Nail Trims and Anal Gland Technician appointments will not be available during the current quarantine period. Sick visits, vaccination appointments and surgeries are still available for scheduling at this time. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation as we continue to help provide for your pets best health and wellness while also doing everything in our power to limit the risk of Coronavirus to you and our staff. This crisis is changing rapidly and we will be updating our website as new details and protocols are put into effect.
