This was the letter that was emailed... We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: • Our office will communicate with you prior to your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. • We ask that you arrive at your appointment alone (with the exception of minors). No one will be permitted to accompany you into the building, they may of course wait for you in your vehicle. • You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment, remain in your car, & call the office 734-282-2019. We will then ask you screening questions & ask you to come into the office; or if we are not completely ready for you, we will ask you to remain in your car & we will call you when we are ready for you to come in. Essentially your car is your waiting room. • If you are bringing a minor child for an appointment, ONE parent/guardian will be asked to stay in the waiting room during the appointment, only the patient is permitted to go to the operatory. • Everyone entering the building will be expected to wear a face mask. If you are wearing gloves, we will ask that you remove them. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. We will then take your temperature and escort you into the operatory. • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, coffee, books and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 734-282-2019. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. Wyandotte Family Dental Team

Hello Dental Family, we miss you!! As most of you may know, we have been given the okay to open on May 29th. So very, very exciting! Things will be different as we open, but one thing is for sure, it will be a safe-friendly kind of different. We will be circulating a letter, via email (to start); if you feel we do not have an email on file for you or if you need to update it please send us a private message and we will make sure that is done. Good afternoon. I just watched President Trump’s press conference. If you have not been watching, I would suggest you watch the next one; this may help you understand what is going on and may put you at ease (SOME). One hot topic is the N95 masks, VP Pence spoke on this. He met with the company 3M. They have increased their production to 420 million masks per year; making more masks immediately available for health care facilities. Referring back to yesterday’s press conference, lack of masks (& other equipment) is one reason why elective medical procedures and dental procedures were asked to be put on hold; hence the closing of our office. Surgeon General Adams: Millennials should consider donating blood. Adams made a plea for people to step up and donate blood. He made a very impactful statement; “Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.” President Trump was asked, when can Americans expect their lives to go back to normal? His response; “I hope very soon, we’ll see. This is unchartered territory, as you know. We think we have ideas, but it doesn’t help to say what those are. I would hope very soon. We’ll pull together as a nation; people are for the most part doing what they are supposed to be doing.” The Task Force was also asked for a realistic timeline for children to return to school. Dr. Birx responded: “Those decisions are made at the state & local government level, with the help of the Federal Presidential Guidance…The absolute key to this though, is every single American looking at the President Guidelines & taking it seriously. The acts of selflessness that I am seeing are so impressive across the board, but if even 10 or 15% of the population decides that what they are doing today is more important than the health & welfare of the rest of Americans, they can spread the virus in a very strong way because you know the level of contagion this virus has.” A link to President Trump’s “15 Days to Stop the Spread.” https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/03.16.20_coronavirus-guidance_8.5x11_315PM.pdf Stay healthy family, we look forward to seeing you soon.
