Therapy Success Story
“Sean my physical therapist was amazing! With his exceptional skills and knowledge each week I saw continual improvement. I am now back to my preinjury comfort level without injections or surgery. Sean gave me a walking program to help me reach my 10K goal without reinjuring my knee and I just completed my 1st mile since having my injury.”
As we continue to follow Virginia Department of Health and CDC guidelines, Wythe Rehabilitation Therapy Services is open and seeing patients. We are evaluating every patient on a case by case basis whether they are a current patient or a new patient. We are scheduling patients to adhere to social distancing and limiting the number of people in the building to 10 or less. Patients who can continue therapy at home or can be placed on therapy at home will work with a therapist and the patients primary care physician. Thank you for allowing us to care for you and your therapy needs.
Wythe Rehabilitation Therapy Services offers a swallowing therapy program for those experiencing problems eating or drinking. The therapist will conduct a swallowing evaluation to determine the appropriate treatment plan. Treatment depends on the cause, symptoms, and type of swallowing problem but the therapist may recommend specific swallowing treatments, positions or strategies to help the individual swallow more effective and/or specific food and liquid textures that are easier and safer to swallow. Our therapist is also VitalStim certified. VitalStim is a modality that combines the power of electrical stimulation with the benefits of exercise.
